Because LiquidManZero had me under the impression it needed to be editable when I first started on this. I wasn't able to actually test on my PS2 til I got a network adapter from LMZ in the mail yesterday. I guess I could hide/lock that for now.

Just re-downloaded Core_Launcherv2 and ps2cc to be sure I had the latest versions, Core_Launcher does indeed use the 192.168.0.80 for the PS2 you can set the pc ip address to anything you like it seems and both ntpbclient and ps2cc will work, I set it to 192.168.0.9 and it still worked, my question now is why bother having an option to set the ip address in ps2cc if Core_Launcher is always set to 192.168.0.80 are future versions of Core_Launcher gonna allow you change the ps2 ip address?
ping 192.168.0.80

From what I gather, the ELF sets the PS2's IP to 192.168.0.80. As of v2, the PS2 side is the server, so the PC has to attempt to connect to it, not the other way around. Try the way LB said.Originally posted by kh2k4 View PostReason? shouldn't the PC take priority over the PS2 and have the IP address 192.168.0.1 whilst the ps2 has 192.168.0.2 my uLE settings and online gaming settings are exactly the same.
The way you explained it means both your pc an ps2 will use the same ip address 192.168.0.2 "pre-set by the launcher"
that's wrong and will create a conflict your pc's lan ip address should be 192.168.0.1 with both the Gateway and DNS set to the same address whilst the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and your ps2's ip address is temporary set to 192.168.0.2 whilst the launcher is running .
p.s. What do you guys think of the memory editor/viewer in Renegade? I think the the UI worked out alright, for the most part. I always liked the Hex Workshop style inline editor, but when I tried to do that before it was buggy as hell. Plus, for PS2 applications, it's almost more useful to be viewing the 32-bit values like Renegade shows.Last edited by Viper187; 07-12-2009, 09:26:13 AM.

Hi all,
Congratulations for the recent work, it seems the project is on a good pace. The recent additions of jimmy and ffgriefer are indeed valuable.
Personally I see more interest on the debugger side of the project. Any progresses regarding it? Dev on the PS2 really needs a good debugger.

I actually have been wanting to give this a test, and I noticed a few things.Originally posted by Lazy Bastard View PostFor those of you that would like to test or play around with the current tools, I've put together a pre-beta package for Artemis, which includes Jimmi's Core_LauncherV2 and Viper187's PS2CC. It can be downloaded here: http://gshi.org/downloads/Artemis_Pre-Beta.zip
It works after the first IOP reboot (when the game launches), however it fails to work any further after a 2nd IOP reboot.

i dont know if this would be of any use to anyone ..
Since your using a PC side Debuger .. and i think the only reson u hook the pad is to Bring your app/Irx into play. Why not hook the SifSendCMD
[2d 40 60 00 2d 48 60 01] (J -88) is what i use as a Master code for cheat divices . or there is _sceRpcFreePacket
[18 00 80 ac 24 18 62 00 08 00 e0 03 10 00 83 ac]
This is what i use for my Sub codes that i always need active. the Jr ra
note both Patterns are for Ps2dis.
this would fix your problem of not being able to connect to a Libpad2 game since every game have both them things all the time.
hope this info helps a bit ..

I've managed dumps with Fight Night 3, didn't try GT4 or TT though I just ran the core version and waited till it went fully in-game to see if it'd run into any problems.
I can't get PS2CC to work at all though is that just a teaser? cos I can't get it to connect to any of the servers.
I set my LAN to
Ip Address: 192.168.0.1
Sub Net Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Prefered DNS: 192.168.0.1
Alternate DNS: BlankLast edited by kh2k4; 07-11-2009, 10:23:32 PM.

Mortal Kombat - Shaolin Monks [SLUS-21087] wouldn't boot with the regular core, but it booted with the silent one. Not sure what that means.
Found a title to boot with the regular core, but I haven't any luck connecting to it from the PC yet. Is anyone else getting this to work on a fat PS2? LiquidManZero and I both have fat PS2s, we're not having any success here.
Edit: Finally got a connection. Dead To Rights [SLUS-20220] worked nicely with the silentcore but not the regular core_launcher.Last edited by Viper187; 07-12-2009, 12:13:54 AM.

I thought they've just incompatible with the win32 app and that you could still access it through the command prompt ones?
what are button combos to output the debug text to the screen? is it useful in anyway?
