I also found FFF602/603 for 'Batman' but did not find an address or addresses that seem to prevent the game from leaping ahead to the ending. This is so rare to see that I cannot even remember if I have seen any other games do it except for perhaps Marvel - War of the Gems.

I'd say the Lounge. It would fall under the description "gaming unrelated to hacking".
    The Lounge

Come in here to hang out and talk about whatever you feel like. Miscellaneous things with no forum to call their own, such as entertainment, general technology, gaming unrelated to hacking, and computer-related conversation are welcome. Un-registered users can post in this forum.

I've played the arcade port and I don't remember anything special about the music. It's possible it did and I just don't remember though. But I haven't played the Genesis port yet. But I would think that the arcade port should have better quality music than the Genesis, assuming they have the same soundtrack.
I want to ask if I want to write a walkthrough of a retro games (e.g. snes, sega genesis).
On where should I post it (Lounge, Last Generation & Retro Hacking, Computer Hacking)?

I would presume that the art assets took a lot of space in the Punisher cartridge but the music quality doesn't seem all that great.
hmm, check what Wikipedia has to say about "The Punisher"'s music:

    Reception

The Genesis port of The Punisher holds an average rating of 73.33% according toGameRankings.[11] I-Mockery rated it overall 10/10, adding that it "has THE BEST MUSIC of any other Genesis game".[12]
The game was ranked as the tenth top greatest superhero game ever by IGN in 2010,[13] as well as fifth top Marvel arcade game by iFanboy in 2010.[14]
