Good evening fine sir. I've recently run into a bit of a problem and was directed here by silentkiller.
Details can also be found here
http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/69...level-modifier
But basicly, I am trying to play through Hana no Star Kaidou for the Famicom. Problem is the game is atrocious. Basicly, you have to control two characters at the same time, find random hidden objects, take lengthy passes through a series of subways and staircases to fullfill whatever random recquirement the Engrish text before a level tells you and then enter one random building and go through a maze (screen doesn't scroll unless you're both on the same level, btw so this leads to many many deaths) to get to the car at the end with the right, seemingly random amount of collected CDs and the item. And of course every two steps you either have enemies who'se bullets takes said plot critical item away, or the game just fires projectiles from the ceiling that do the same, usualy three in a row, targeted at your position.
And you have to avoid them with two sprites at the same time.
Thing is I used a GG code for infinite lives to beat the first five levels (and a Nico video to tell me what in blazes I'm supossed to do) and the thing simply freezes after the fifth level.
Now I was told by Rey that what I'd need is a level modifier. I'd realy appreciate any sort of help on the matter (even a save state on the last level without any codes per se), because I just can't stand the idea of not being able to finish something I'm 90 % done with.

NES - Gimmick! (J)
*I'm sure these probably work for NES - Mr. Gimmick (E) also, I used the codes listed under that title but I played the Japanese version to find these codes.
Level Modifier (00 - 05, 06 = Credits Ending 07 = Special Ending)
001B:??
Item Box Modifier
0036:??
00 = Nothing
01 = Potion
02 = Ball Shot
03 = Bomb
Shot Angle Modifier (You can put whatever you want in this but a lot of values just make your shot do weird things, 80 will bounce straight back and forth)
009B:??
1 Hit Kills Bosses
0348:00
0349:00
034A:00
Jump Midair

I think he meant to type "kick" and not "dick", hehOriginally posted by Rune View PostIs that what you were looking for? A move modifier? Outside of Europe, "private dicks" are called "private investigators" in North America.

Hmmm is that so....ok can you CrackDown find super dick ?Originally posted by CRACKdown View PostIf that's the case I might not be able to accomplish it. Those types of codes can be pretty hard to nail down unless you got lightning fast reflexes, and I'd need to know the special moves that were wanting codes.

Streets of Rage 2 has one but the problem with such a code is that your character only performs that move and nothing else. Meaning you cannot combine one special move with another AFAIK.

SNES - Rushing Beat Shura (J)
Codes should also work for:
SNES - Peacekeepers, The
This code is NOT perfect, could probably be improved, have used it on Character Selection Screen, first section of level is usually a little glitched graphically and not fully tested, there seems to be several variables that go into it. But this is what I found.
Level Modifier
7E00D0??
7E00DA??
7E1EA1??
1 = 00, 00, 01
2 = 04, 04, 02
3 = 08, 08, 03
4 = 0C, 0C, 04
5 = 12, 12, 05
6 = 16, 16, 06
7 = 18, 18, 07
8 = 1A, 1A, 08
There may be more that work.
Jump Midair as Elfin

I guess I don't really understand what your asking for exactly with the punches and kicks "digits?", if you could be more specific I might take another look. In case you didn't know most if not all codes for The Peacekeepers will work on Rushing Beat Shura. Here's some links for quick reference:
