Mez's Codes...
Collapse

People will do anything to get their names out there and have others think they did the work of finding the codes themselves, lamers.

I do it, but I always ask for permission. I've believe I've asked Mez's permission before to do that.

It's one thing to submit stuff that's been around for years, but when knowingly submitting new stuff without even attempting to ask permission is just wrong.

I'll be sure to submit before posting anywhere for now on, thanks for the tip.

Here's the problem... at GameFAQs, all cheats/passwords that they have are "contributed" by people, so whoever sends them in isn't necessarily the original finder. "oblivion from aoc" did the same thing when he requested a password for Sampras Tennis 96 to play as the robot. I found the password for him, then he "contributed" it to GameFAQs under his name. Technically, he wasn't saying he found the password, he was just the person who submitted it. Kind of sucks that he does that, but now I know to submit to GameFAQs before I post in forums.Last edited by Tony H; 05-21-2013, 11:51:11 PM.

So if I understand correctly, after you posted the passwords on the Sega-16 forum (great sega website btw), somebody saw them and 'stole' them by submitting them to GameFAQs and taking credit for them too. Did "oblivion from aoc" receive credit for those passwords? If so, you should notify the staff of GameFAQs and send them the link to the Sega-16 forum thread where you posted the passwords to prove to them that you were the real creator.

This push-button cheat was in the ROM of the above post, Claymates Demo, but only the first 2 buttons were needed.
In this next game, the full sequence opens a similar Stage Select.
Harley's Humongous Adventure (SNES)
At the Title Screen press:
X, A, Y, B, R, Select, L, Up, Down, Left, Right.
Edit:
The 'Cheat' option is a toggle for invincibility.Last edited by Mezmorize; 05-21-2013, 03:57:06 AM.

In the Demo version of the SNES game, Claymates, there is an easily accessible hidden Stage Select.
Here's how to access:
While on the Visual Concepts logo screen, press X then A.

X-Men Character Modifier For Fusion v3.64 (Game Gear)
Here's somewhat of a save-state editor for the Game Gear version of X-Men.
It's for a character modifier only.
X-Men Character Modifier For Fusion v3.64 (Game Gear).zip
I made the code literally years ago but was never able to share a working code.
I could use Cheat Engine to easily use the code since I could just write the value once without locking the value, but when converted to a PAR code it would not work properly.
Can't make a working Game Genie code with my limited skills, but at least now I am able to share the code in some form.
Normally when starting a new game you can only play as Wolverine and Cyclops.
With this you can change characters at anytime between those 2 characters as well as:
Storm, Rogue, Psylocke, Nightcrawler and Iceman.

I was having problems with a code since there is no BRA instruction on the NES.
Did a quick search and this page told a helpful tidbit:
http://www.atarimax.com/jindroush.atari.org/aopc.html
I was able to make the Walk Thru Walls code always work instead of just reversing when it would normally take effect.
Since I was replacing a BNE with BEQ, you could walk thru walls when you shouldn't be able to, but with things you normally should be able to walk thru the character would stop. I used $70 which is BVS - Branch if Overflow Set and it seems to work great.
Castlevania II - Simon's Quest (U) [!].nes

Yea I figure with my problem with finishing 'projects' that I start, I may never get to a game that someone might want to see some new codes for. And with using trace logs to make codes, you can come up with some unusual codes.
The create platforms codes are a good example of making a code that I wasn't specifically trying to make.
A good example of me not finishing stuff I start is the Regional Lockout Bypass codes for Genesis.
I had very few left to do and still haven't finished >.<
Here's the remaining games/notes I had if you want to get them done, I never did check if a code had already been made for them (except with your universal codes, which did not work for these):
Code:NBA Hang Time (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] [FF2A44:6000] *NHL 96 Elitserien (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] [MC 1DAD44:6002] *Nigel Mansell's World Championship (E).bin [000328:4E71] [Don't Work For USA or Japan] [MC] *Ottifants, The (E) (M5) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Pebble Beach Golf Links (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Pocahontas (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Punisher, The (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Ranger-X (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Robocop Versus The Terminator (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Samurai Shodown (E) [c][!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Saturday Night Slam Masters (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Sega Sports 1 (Wimbledon, Ult.Soccer, Super Monaco) (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Shin Changsegi - Ragnacenty (K) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA] *Skeleton Krew (E).bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Smurfs, The (E) (M5) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Sonic Classics (Compilation) (E) (REV00) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Speed Ball 2 - Brutal Deluxe (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Spirou (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Streets of Rage 3 (E) (Apr 1994) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Streets of Rage 3 (E) (May 1994) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA] *Striker (E) (M5) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Tintin Au Tibet (E) (M6) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Toy Story (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Ultimate Soccer (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Wimbledon Championship Tennis (E) [!].bin [Don't Work For USA or Japan] *Worms (E) (Prototype) [c][!].bin [Don't Work For Japan]
