I played through that section yesterday, so I know exactly what you're talking about. I've got 2 different codes for you to try. I didn't have a save state in that area, so didn't test the codes in that section, but I'm fairly sure this first code should work fine. You can activate this first code at anytime, so no need to start a new game (you can use a save state if you have one).

Ocarina is always available in your Items menu. NOTE: This code causes an Elixir to always show up in your Item menu as well, but you may or may not actually have an elixir.

Here's a second code that I probably won't add to the db here because it could be a little buggy...
AHBT-DN2G
Start a new game with all items (including the Ocarina). May be buggy.
If you don't want to test it out, that's fine. I'm pretty sure the other code will work with no problems.
To open the first door, stand over the red notes right next to the door, activate the Ocarina and press these buttons on your controller: B A B A B C B
I own this cart, and never knew about the paper airplane until today.
Comix Zone (Genesis)
AJBV-4A2W
Don't lose any health when making a paper airplane. NOTE: To make a paper airplane, hold down the 'Punch' button until your character pulls a piece of paper off the wall and folds it into a plane. When he throws it, it will fly to the edge of the panel and circle back around causing massive damage to anything it hits, including you, so make sure you duck.
SABV-5ETW
Gain a little health when you make a paper airplane (instead of losing health). NOTE: Code above explains how to make a paper airplane.
SABV-5YTW
Gain lots of health when you make a paper airplane (instead of losing health).
AJCV-4A56
Don't lose any health if the paper airplane hits you.
It's pretty fun using the "Jump in mid air" code and hovering above your enemy, then drop down and use the "Endless punches and kicks" code to knock the shit out of him. For me, it makes the game more enjoyable. There's no more button mashing.
Comix Zone (Genesis)
REGB-46T0
Jump in mid air (multi-jumps).
REBV-46V2
Holding down the 'Punch' button makes you automatically bombard enemies with endless punches and kicks. NOTE: You won't be able to make a paper airplane with this code active.
Had a 1 hit kill code, but it wouldn't let you progress in one section. Ugh.
Aww man! tbh, i have not play Comix Zone for long time since this game was on my PS2's Sonic Mega Collection Plus but, i don't like it a little because one level called Episode 2: Welcome to the Temple was light the torch on a fire by Mortus! one problem, there was no water to melt the fire away! that's why
