    • Always liked this game. Was surprised to see that there are no user created GG codes for this.

      Sub-Terrania (Genesis)

      JXBA-JA3G
Master Code (improved). Probably not needed on real hardware.

      ABDA-TJAL
Less gravity (Normal mode). Makes your spaceship easier to handle. Code must be turned on before you start the game.

      ABDA-TCAL
Much less gravity (Normal mode). Makes your spaceship much easier to handle. Code must be turned on before you start the game.

      • Found out there are different gravity levels depending on difficulty. Changed code descriptions above and added one more code below for the "Easy" mode.

          • Sonic & Knuckles (Genesis)

            C4ZT-CACE
Less gravity. Makes Sonic or Knuckles do high moon jumps with slow descent, and makes them bounce higher on mushrooms, springs, etc.

            BLZT-CACE
Much less gravity. Makes Sonic or Knuckles do super high moon jumps with slow descent, and makes them bounce much higher on mushrooms, springs, etc.

            ------------------

These codes also make it easier to beat the bosses (easier to keep bouncing off the top of them).

                • The earlier codes also work on Sonic & Knuckles with Sonic 3 attached, but had to add a couple extra notes. The lower gravity codes mess up the intro scene with the airplane. When Sonic jumps out of the plane, he goes up instead of down, and the game gets confused.

Less gravity. Makes everyone do high moon jumps with slow descent, and makes them bounce higher on mushrooms, springs, etc. NOTE: If you are using Sonic, or Sonic and Tails, do not turn this code on until the stage starts (the airplane scene gets messed up).

                  • One part of Sonic games that always frustrated me, was having to get a running start to make it up hills, or loops.

As before, code is the same, but code description is different.

Will have codes for the other characters shortly.

                    Sonic & Knuckles

                    KJFT-CACC
Sonic accelerates much faster. Example: If you are standing at the bottom of a loop, you can easily make it all the way around the loop without having to get a running start. Code must be turned on before you select your character.

                    =================

                    Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic 3

                    KJFT-CACC
Sonic (or Sonic with Tails) accelerates much faster. Example: If you are standing at the bottom of a loop, you can easily make it all the way around the loop without having to get a running start. Code must be turned on before you select your character.

1 hit kills bosses. Note that I've only tested this code on the first boss, but it should work on other bosses as well.

                        --------------------

Note that the RAM address for boss HP (even for the same boss) changes from game to game, so a single PAR code for this is most likely impossible. However, the routine is always the same, so a Game Genie code works fine.

1 hit kills bosses (alternate code). Only tested on the first boss, but should work on others as well.

                          -------------------------

The first 1 hit kills code above clears the RAM address for the bosses HP so he dies, this alternate code changes a conditional branch so it always goes to the death routine. Figured I'd include both just in case.

                          • Cool Sonic codes, Tony!

I was looking at some old Genesis hacks of mine, and this one always made me curious:

Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (U)

                            Alternate SEGA Logo Intro
                            FF001D:64

Is it possible to make this happen normally in the game? I don't remember how I found it.

                            • Interesting code. I couldn't figure out how to get the alternate SEGA logo to work without your PAR code. Maybe it's used in the "J" version?

                              • I don't recall the (J) version doing it nor the beta versions of the game. I'll test the code on them and see what happens.

Update: None of the other versions boot-up like the alternate one. My PAR code works for the J, U and E retail versions. The first beta ROM requires a new code (FF001B:64), and the earlier one doesn't seem to have the alternate boot logo at all (the Sega logo lacks the "TM" and stays displayed during the intro before being cut off abruptly).
