  • I noticed that there are no official Galoob GG codes for getting free items in shops with this game. They have several codes to buy individual items for free instead. After looking at the programming in the game for subtracting money when buying items, it looks like that subroutine might be used for other things, which is probably why Galoob didn't make a code for that. I found another way to buy anything you want. The money is still subtracted when you buy stuff, but it doesn't matter because it never checks to see if you have enough money. Seems to work fine.

        • This is the first "first person" type game that I've made a walk thru walls code for. Seems to work fine. If you go outside of the normal limits/boundaries of the labyrinth, visually it appears as if any walls are far off in the distance. Also, you get battles with every step. I guess they don't want you out of bounds. :-)

          • Collectordude, I haven't heard from you. Is it safe to assume that the "E" PAR codes for Megaman X worked?

            • Hi Again Tony

I wanted to reply back to say that the SNES PAR codes by Phil The Hammer are unfortunately not the codes i want or am looking for so that is why i asked you if you could create working cheat codes for this (E) version of the game from the SNES - Mega Man X (v1.1) page of codes as these codes are the ones that i want to have and need so i hope that you can do this, thank you.

              • Collectordude, I must have misunderstood what you were looking for. I'm working on other codes right now, so when I get some time I'll take a look at it.

EDIT: If anyone else wants to make those Megaman X (E) codes, go right ahead.

EDIT 2: Collectordude, are you using an emulator or real hardware?

                • Collectordude, after making several codes and checking them with the USA ver 1.1 PAR codes, I figured out 2 things.

                  1) The PAR codes for USA ver 1.1 are the same for the E version of the game (didn't check all of them, but every one I checked was the same).

                  2) The reason the boss in the first level has become invincible is because you are not supposed to beat him. You are supposed to almost die, and then an ally comes to help you and the boss runs away. Turn the "infinite energy" PAR code off well before you get to the boss and you should get past him with no problems.

                      • I have tried these codes for this version of the game but unfortunately when i turn off the cheats my character is frozen and i am unable to move and none of the action buttons work either so do you know why this is, thanks.

Have no idea why that's happening. I used the "E" version of the game and I was able to turn the infinite energy code off with no problems. Since you're using an emulator, you could use a different version of the ROM and see if that helps.

But I don't feel like going to a certen stage to test a Level out

Like going to 4-3 with a push of a Button

I'm agree. I always bothered by fact all exciting "Level select" codes for SMB1 lets you only select World #-1 on title screen, as World 2-1, 3-1, 5-1 and so on. However, there is no "Level Select" code made that lets selecting a level like #-2, #-3 or #-4, as World 2-3, 3-4, 5-2, 8-2...
I was played a SMB1 on various multigame pirate carts on real system a many years ago and on some of my NES multigame pirate carts with Super Mario Bros., on title screen I could select a world as 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 with button B which all of codes already made actually do too. But on these multigame pirate carts in SMB1, I could do also press button A and, if I have selected World 3-1 on title screen with pressing B, I can start on World 3-2, 3-3 or 3-4 too, instead only on World 3-1. So I want to see a LEVEL SELECT CODE that no just allows selecting a world #-1 with pressing B, but it also to allows selecting a World #-2, #-3 or #-4 with pressing A button. Unfortunatelly, seems a similar code for Super Mario Bros. isn't made yet.

                              • I'll look into when I get some free time, but it's very unlikely that I can make a code that lets you select the world and the stage by pushing the A or B buttons for SMB.
