I wanted to write back to you again and say that unfortunately i have tried all of the available codes for megaman x on snes and they all have the unfortunate side effect that i mentioned before so please could you create some codes from scratch for me and test them out to make sure that they work, thanks.
Use the Infinite health code from here: http://gamehacking.org/?s=v2&sys=6&gid=549

The RAM address for your health will never be the same as the RAM address for an enemies health.

You mean the request for Megaman X codes are possibly for the E version? Yeah, that would have been nice to know. Collectordude, what region are the codes for??? If they're for Euro, there are PAR codes here for that too. There's even a note about turning the code off when entering a boss room, then back on.

There are 2 versions of SMB3J. The KKKZSPIU code only works on one version (REV A). I checked and I couldn't do a direct port of the code to your version. This means one would have to figure out how the code works on REV A, and then see if it's possible to get the same effect on the other version. May or may not be possible. I'm working on other codes right now, so maybe someone else can figure it out.

              • Good news retrogamer, was able to figure it out. Let me know if this works on your cart:

                SMB3j Debug mode.

                • I didn't even realixe there was 2 versions of the game..

How can I tell if I'm getting Rev A?

                  • If my version of the SMB3j debug code works, then you don't have REV A.

                    Did my code work?

                          • Hi Tony and Helder

I wanted to reply back to say that the version of Megaman X that i have is the (E) version and unfortunately the codes that Tony provided me with in the link that he posted didnt work properly either as they too caused the boss to become invincible like me and thus prevented me from completing the level and continuing the game so i hope that Tony can create some fresh codes for me that will work correctly. I would like it if you could create working codes that are for all of the things that are listed on the SNES - Mega Man X (v1.1) gamehacking page as i would love to have working codes of these as these are all the codes that i need and want, thanks.

Did you even try the PAR codes for the E version????? Phil the Hammer made those codes, and I know that Phil is VERY thorough when testing his codes, so I find it really hard to believe that his codes wouldn't work as advertised. He even mentions that you can kill bosses with one hit, and explains how to kill the final boss with one hit.

EDIT: Also, it would be a very good idea if you told us if your requests are for regions other than the USA. I wasted a lot of my time because you didn't say it was for a European game.
