  • Tony, I made this PAR Phantasy Star 2 code for no random attacks long ago: FFCB0C:0000 . I know some gamers still use a real GG to play Genesis games, while the Genesis PAR is about as rare as a Ford Corvette. It might be beneficial to GG users if you were to make a 'no random attacks' for the GG & PS2. (I included the PAR code to save you the trouble of looking it up, & to give you its data to work with, if you choose to make such a code.)
I come from a smart family...In the Civil War, my great-grandpa fought for the WEST.

    • Phil, I made several different variations of the "Random battle" code a while back, and I'm pretty sure I used your PAR code to help me make them. Whenever I see your name attached to a PAR code, I'm 100% confident it will work as advertised.

      E2MT-CA88
      No random battles.

      FAMT-CAG6 +
      HTMT-DFR4 +
      E2MT-CN88

      LAMT-CAG6 +
      HTMT-DFR4 +
      E2MT-CN88
Random battles happen every 20 steps (40 steps in dungeons and towers).

      SAMT-CAG6
      HTMT-DFR4 +
      E2MT-CN88

      More frequent random battles.

      KEMT-C784

      • Someone had requested the "Pause the game anywhere to go to the title screen" code for a specific reason. Not sure how useful it will be to others, but will add it to the db anyways.

        Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic 3

        AVFA-AA7J
Enables level select. At the title screen, press Up until you see "Sound Test" and then press Start.

        RELA-A6V8
Pause the game anywhere and press A to go back to the title screen.

            A3VA-AAE2
Punches when standing (B button) are much stronger

            AKXT-AAG6
            Knife pick-ups are worth 2.

            AZXT-AAG6
            Knife pick-ups are worth 5.

            ABVT-AADJ
            Infinite knives.

NOTE: There is already an "Inf knives" code in the db, but the replacement instruction is incorrect so not sure what side effects it might have.

                • Hey Tony.
Was just wondering if you had time to look for the enemy's money modifier in Advanced Daisenryaku? I can give you translations if you want. I found a way to beat the levels quick but it keeps sending me back to the first stage everytime I complete all the levels. Thanks again for your work and contributions.

                  • If I remember correctly, I didn't have any luck with that. I couldn't figure out how to play the game enough to get the enemies money address.

Can you tackle this Rom Hack for me

                        Rings worth 8
                        Enable Debug and Level Select

                        • Retrogamer, how familiar with hex editors are you? The codes you want are probably just a simple matter of porting them over from the regular Sonic ROM. I can tell you which bytes to search for with a hex editor if you're interested.
