It is "a Build of VBA 1.8 made off of the latest and last SVN version, to replace 1.8 beta 3. (Many fixes)"

I think that it's different than the VBA-M branch. The VBA-M branch is more recent than that. But if you don't want to use the VBA-M branch and want to stick with the official version, then that might be for you.
    Thanks for the info!
    I'll check it out.

You should apply that process to GBC games too.
Thanks, it was a long boring process.
I made a script with AutoHotKey to do most of the work, but it's still time consuming.

I do plan to scan GBC next, after I finish up with these Game Genie codes.

Glad to hear they do indeed work then.
I'm learning as I go, so I know their not the greatest codes.

It's not for me, it's for the people.

He discovered some codes that not even Japanese code sites have.

        Random scrawlings:

        Using VBA 1.8.0 [off-shoot]:

b c kid (e) 1 : blink code, same with Batman RoTJ (blink codes as well) <- both error messages "fixed" with new VBA
Battle Unit Zeoth (UE) -> both codes now work.

        then

        ..

        beethoven 2nd - invulner didn't work either.

bill n ted's : i time by mez did not work. ventuz's did.

Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions - blink until next area after being hit did not work whatsoever.
Infinite Health - does not work

flintstones (self titled) - infinite health and no game over both don't seem to work

ironman / xo manowar - Developer Level Select Menu - not working?

Lethal Weapon - i health works, i ammo aspect nope

Looney Tunes - Start with 99 Lives & Infinite Lives - do not work

Ninja Boy - Don't Stop Blinking After Losing A Life... it works but as soon as you attack again the invincibility effect is lost.

Obelix (E) (GBC) - none of the codes worked for me by anyone except the i time.

Super Chinese Land 1 (J) - not your code, but ugetab's Infinite Life code didn't work.

World Heroes 2 Jet gb - Didn't notice what the test mode did. Infinite health P1 seems to apply to P2 as well.

        ..

both Tom and Jerry games could use a good Jump In Midair code. They're ridiculously difficult.

This is a push button code. The code works. The timer still decreases, but the stage does not end when the time is up.

Daffy Duck: The Marvin Missions - blink until next area after being hit did not work whatsoever.
Infinite Health - does not work
          Worked for me

flintstones (self titled) - infinite health and no game over both don't seem to work
My bad, should be named Infinite Lives.

ironman / xo manowar - Developer Level Select Menu - not working?
Pause the game, hold either up or down and unpause.

Lethal Weapon - i health works, i ammo aspect nope
This is just another push button code.

Looney Tunes - Start with 99 Lives & Infinite Lives - do not work
          Works for me.

Obelix (E) (GBC) - none of the codes worked for me by anyone except the i time.
I have not hacked a gbc game...
          Obelix (E) (M2) (Eng-Spa) [S][!]

World Heroes 2 Jet gb - Didn't notice what the test mode did. Infinite health P1 seems to apply to P2 as well.
Turn on the code and reset the system.

It's disconcerting that some GB codes work in the Beta version and others in the off-shoot. Finicky emulators make it hard to remove codes from any DB. I'll check out the beta later when I have a moment...presumably after finally seeing The Dark Knight Rises. Thanks!

                  Nice new hacks!

Tom & Jerry will need a MJ eventually. Might do that sometime soon.

Tried the Beethoven's 2nd with VBA v1.8.0/v1.8.0 beta 3 and BGB. The code didn't work for any of those emulators. Did not try v1.7.2.

Your Robocop vs. Terminator code works properly but once you run-out of health, the game will freeze. I'll let you know about any other issues when I am able to do so.

Here's another long Game Genie code, this time for Final Fantasy Legend III (U) [!]

Press Select To Cycle Item Slot 1 Through Every Item
                    C37-19C-2A9
                    807-1AC-C40
                    3E7-1BC-4CC
                    FAE-80C-E6A
                    8AE-81C-E6A
                    FFE-82C-E6A
                    E6E-83C-E6A
                    04E-84C-E6A
                    CAE-85C-E6A
                    8FE-86C-E6A
                    3EE-87C-E6A
                    FAE-88C-E6A
                    FFE-89C-E6A
                    C6E-8AC-E6A
                    3CE-8BC-E6A
                    EAE-8CC-E6A
                    FFE-8DC-E6A
                    C6E-8EC-E6A
                    3EE-8FC-E6A
                    F0E-91C-E6A
                    8AE-92C-E6A
                    A9E-93C-E6A
                    C3E-94C-E6A
                    1CE-95C-E6A
                    37E-96C-E6A

Unfortunately it makes the value at C6FF change very fast if you hold down Select for very long.
The values can be found here: http://gamehacking.org/?s=v2&sys=10&gid=3132&sid=1948

If you look around the joker address, you may spot a momentary joker close by so things cycle one at a time. Momentary jokers hold the button press value for 1 cycle instead of until the button is released.

Also, I found your hex editing game genie codes into roms tutorial, you should check out the GHTool we're working on as it aids with doing that. Gives you the possible compare values if it's missing and patches the rom for you.

Cool thanks, I'll try to be more watchful for that.

I wrote that guide years ago before I knew of this site back when I first discovered Tony H's website.
Since then I've always used programs hosted here to patch roms much more easily, but I'll defiantly download this new app. ^.^

Wow, you have such a deep understanding of asm.
I value your input very much as I still have much to learn.

Right now I don't fully grasp everything like stacks and such, I should probably stick to the more simple codes for now until I get a better understanding.
