  • Hi I'm new here but I have been following artemis for a while now it seems to be progressing well good work!

Are there any specific threads to discuss artemis game compatability and issues with games?

      • Oh, misfire/jimmi: You should probably add something saying "Press X to continue" to the bootup screen of Artemis...it seems to just sit there at "Initializing" until I hit X.

        • Ah yeah we forgot to print it

It's originally here to allow to swap when your sensors are locked.

          • PS2CC rev 26 is up. I added a File Mode option as requested. Turn on File Mode, and it should prompt for a file each time you click Search. Results display, obviously. Memory viewer and such haven't been modified for use with this. That's what Hex Workshop is for, anyway.

            • That's great. Now the USB dumping fans can do some tedious hacking

              • I tried PS2CC and it works. The problem I had was that those search options for values wouldn't let me set values. I would set a first low value, I would put a number in, and after that nothing would set it and neither would ENTER. I clicked out of the number box, and it always reset to 0. I also didn't know, but every game needs that "PS2 Waits" box checked or it never works.

EDIT: I posted this in the wrong thread. It was for the PS2CC thread. Sorry.

                • Artemis 0.3 fails to load cheats.txt file from my memory card 1/3rd of the time its a chinese clone 64 meg card... direct booting artemis from FMCB menu has 1/3rd or more failure rate loading cheats.txt file from memory card... it loads the conf file and elf without issue but fails on cheats.txt however loading ule and running artemis from the same path seems to work 100% of the time... also it gives no specific error just faild to load "cheats.txt" ...

if its possible add an option to retry and not skip on without cheats or increase the access/iopen/read timeout values to work with non soly cards better?

                  • Artemis also won't let me load cheats from the cheats.txt file. I put Fatal Frame 3 in the same exact cluttered looking format, yet I always get some kind of error that there is nothing there for Fatal Frame 3 with a ";1" after it.

If I could my own cheats in while playing, I could probably easily find the code to unlock both endings in Fatal Frame 3 since I could use the ghost list codes to lock and unlock part of the gallery extras.

                    • Chinese 64mb card clone are really crap, they are not reliable at all.
Many games don't work with, and their hardware is so slow that It's sometimes not detected.

I'm not surprised you can't access cheat.txt reliably from it.
Put this crappy clone in the basket and buy a real memcard, it will work

On my side, loading cheats.txt works fine so far from both mass/memcard.

                      • I know the chinese cards are crap and its the cause of the problem or I would not have said I was using a chinese card... I do also have an 8 meg sony card I use that for games so I don't have any problems there. I just use the chinese card to store stuff like old game saves and homebrew apps to save space on the 8 meg card...

I guess I can just change the config to have it load the cheats from mass or the other memory card but it would be nice to keep everything together on the chinese card.

                            It should print something like:

                            Code:
                            Initializing...
                            Options:
                            START | X - Start Game
                            SELECT - Select Boot ELF
                            CIRCLE - Activate Cheats
                            Ready.
If not, there's something going wrong. When exactly does this happen?

                              • misfire: It occurs every time, and this is using the pre-compiled binary you provided. It simply halts at "Initializing...", until I press X, at which point it waits a few more seconds, then goes straight to the color screens.

                                And, cool @ credits
