  • Before your post above, no one had posted in this thread since 2011...that's why it was no longer a sticky.

And yeah, the project went dormant when most of the useful cheating/hacking features were broken by its lead developer, apparently intentionally, in order to pave the way for a true debugger rather than a debugger being used for hacking purposes (unless I misunderstood).

The old (functional, useful for hacking those games that are compatible) Artemis "packages" I put together are still up on the Artemis page: http://gamehacking.org/artemis, ready to be used out of the box. As for source, it's around here and there, and I could dig up older stuff if desired.
    I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...

I desire my work not be in fucking vein. Hacking PS2 from the PC side is next to useless, IMO, without the ability to test the results on the fly. We had it all working, then they started changing shit, and making me update PS2CC, only to wind up disabling remote ram writes the next version. We need to dig up jimmi and get him the fix the goddamn 0.4 ELF.

        • I never did have the chance to actually test the part of ps2cc that allowed me to modify memory while playing. I ended up writing a tiny bit of ASM code to do that for me. http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/43...ory-with-ps2rd. The next generation of consoles came around and this died.

            • I have a PS2 Slim that I've never used. How can I help? (Assuming I don't disappear again.)

              • All I can think of is to somehow contact misfire. https://twitter.com/mlafeldt or [email protected] since he was the last person who was working on it. I'm not sure of who else to ask anymore.

Well, misfire broke the current ELF so we can't write RAM remotely anymore. Plus, we could definitely use an easy setup for breakpoints on read/write/execute like we used to do with GSCC2k2 on N64.

                  • Hey Viper, good to see you back. Haven't seen you in a while.

                    • Viper187 just beat me to it a moment ago. I was skimming through the thread to see if there were familiar names involved or doing things with code. I see jimmikaelkael, Ishtar, LiquidManZero,& Lazy Bastard. From last I remember misfire was working on hardware breakpoints or something related to breakpoints.

                      • I need these links to update the Artemis Wiki page

                        CL-LiveDebug v3.0.4b (by gtlcpimp)

                        PS2CC Rev. 28 (by Viper187)

PS2rd v0.5 (by jimmikaelkael and misfire)

Artemis USB Hacking System Package 2 (includes IGMassdumper v0.1 (by Jimmikaelkael) & PS2CC Rev 28 (by Viper187))

All of these links show 404 pages. Please help me with the right links to these files.

                        • I've probably got a few of these still around on my computer. I know I got that CL-LiveDebug, but I don't remember the multiple versions of ps2cc and ps2rd I have, but there's a few.

                              • I uploaded what I have stored. ps2rd-0.5.3.59.gb6db-500_codes is whatever version that allows for 500 codes at a time instead of 100 or whatever the limit was.

Kermit was something from assembler games that I'm not sure anybody has heard of that was for the same purpose as ps2rd, but I never checked for updates because my pc doesn't have a port for whatever that cable was I needed to connect to my PS2.
