You can talk to her (?) using your computer back in your room (upstairs in the house you started in). You'll be backtracking here after every finished job.

Later on you get the RH Bracelet which lets you access the Mieu menu from anywhere, but not take on new jobs for whatever reason.

A tip for the fights is to use jump kicks, kicking fairly late in the jump. You can also press jump+punch at the same time to do a leaping kick attack, which is good early on but not as much against enemies with firearms. The timing is very precise so spamming it is hard to do, at least it is for me.

    Edit:
If it's any help, I'm pretty sure this game uses the same engine as Sword of Vermillion (MD). Maybe that helps with finding some stuff?

    Edit 2:
The research lab will become available after a few jobs. Spoiler: It's in the cafe in the first area.

Battery doesn't drain when walking around.

        CAWT-AA7L
        No monthly suit rental fee.

        --------------

I'll have to dig deeper to figure out the codes that you wanted (longer battery life and less frequent monthly rental fees). Should have them tomorrow after work.

I only tested both of these codes above when walking around. Not sure if they work in other parts of the game. I won't add them to the db until they're tested more. If you get anymore info on them, please let me know (ie. does the "battery doesn't drain" code work at other times as well (special moves, etc), does the "No monthly fee" code work everywhere? etc.

Nice! I've decided to replay using these codes so I can test them thoroughly.

BT boost for suit 1 works, as does extra money from dad. However the "no fee" code made it so that time ran out right after you've beaten up your dad and have been employed by SECA. It goes to the warning and then directly to confiscating the suit from you in your home so you have no chance to react.

          Edit:
Played some more and the "no BT drain" code works so far for walking around. However I've just gotten the first weapon, flash force, and it's draining 10 BT per use during fights so it must be different from the regular drain.

Thank you for testing those. I re-tested the "no fee" code today and immediately saw exactly the same problem you mentioned. Don't know why it didn't show up for me yesterday. Anyways, I've fixed the code (hopefully) and edited my post above. Let me know if you have anymore problems with it.

I'm pretty sure that the game uses the number of steps/distance that you travel to determine when to do the monthly fee and when to subtract battery power. Working on that right now.

One other thing I need your opinion on... I have a code that makes it so that you are warned much earlier about the rental fee being due. This means you have much more time to get to the bank. As you know, you can't pay the fee at the bank until you get the warning notice. Would that code be of any use?

EDIT: I also changed the code description for the "no BT drain" code.

Finally figured out the longer lasting battery code you requested (at least for when walking around). I just need to know what value you want. I made a code that makes the battery last twice as long, but I can make it any value you want. Let me know.

As soon as I get a weapon, I'll work on a battery code for that.

Figured I'd throw my hand into the mix a bit, one thing that annoyed the hell out of me is the walking speed with and without armor so made a code to help.

                Suit Walking Speed is Faster
                ANRT-AAE4

No Suit Walking Speed is Much Faster
                ANRT-AAEN
                Spoiler Alert! Click to view...

Again, I can make this code for any amount you want. Let me know.

Thanks! The "no fee" code appears to be working correctly now, I've done a few jobs without anything happening.

Earlier warning would definitely be useful as long as it doesn't affect the timer so you have less in total. In the original it would run out before you got to the bank if there wasn't one in the current area.

                    Edit:
2x BT time sounds good to me. I'll try it out for a bit.

Cool! I'm testing the suit one now and it seems to work well. You can get semi-stuck in the vertical fences in Bigwood but it's only a visual problem.

Edit 2: I was wrong, moving between the mine and town in Bigwood caused some problems. You have to re-load the save state for that to work properly. And when you do, you can walk through bushes from the left. Not a big problem though.

However, it can become impossible to talk to some NPCs when facing upwards while this code is active.

                    Edit 2:
Tony, the 2x rental period time code is pretty much perfect. Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately I'm stuck again at a cryptogram puzzle. You get almost no clues nor any directions to anyone to talk to here so I'm kind of stumped.

If any of you are playing through it and need some help with trial & error stuff, here are some more notes:
-Plates are placed one tile above the SW corner of the SW warehouse building in Molden, in the water
-Defuse the bomb by searching on its right side, left side makes it blow up
-Malaysian Princess restaurant is in NE Goodriver

uffbulle, thanks so much for all the info and feedback. Makes it much easier.

I'll go ahead and add those codes to the db and start working on more...

The notification that your suit rental payment is almost due, comes 3x sooner. This gives you more time to get to the bank.

EDIT: This code can be adjusted if needed (ie 2x, 4x, 5x sooner etc).

Great, 3x sounds good to me as long as you're using the other code with it.

I solved the cryptogram puzzle last night with the help of the RHDN translation thread and almost beat the game too, I think. I still don't know how you were supposed to figure it out without guessing so here are all the letters decrypted if anyone needs them:
                        p=f, i=t, y=h, b=e, k=i, t=s, q=n, h=d, g=m, a=o, m=l, z=r, n=c, f=a, c=w, r=u, l=p, u=g, d=b, v=x

                        More notes (spoilers):
-Take out the trash for a woman on floor one of NE Biggate (bacon apartments IIRC) to eventually find the cat
-"empty" molden warehouse (middle one in the row of three up north, with a guard outside) has its switch on the N wall near the NW corner
-The police chief is hiding under his desk during the attack on the station
-Bigwood cave: Archeologist's notes are in the SW corner of the second chamber from the top left in the Bigwood cave, also the pattern is right, left, down at first (to open the hidden cave), then r (red) d (blue) l (yellow) with the gems to open the inner part
-To get further into the Ghost Office in Goodriver, you need to talk to an old woman on the E edge of the map (SE of the Ghost Office).
-The Peachinator will revive once so recharge after the first fight before rescuing the hostages
-Go to the research lab after beating Peachinator to continue the story (the police outside won't do anything in the ghost office)

                        Edit:
Having played through most of the end game I do have one more request, and that's for codes to lower (0.5 or so) or remove random encounters, because they become very frequent and repetitive in the end game while the rewards also aren't good enough to make them worth it because a) you get much more money via other means and b) there's nothing much to spend it on.

Another minor thing that's been bothering me, though I'm not sure if it's fixable through codes like this but the music always resets when moving between rooms (changing floors, moving into/out of buildings). If possible it'd be better if it kept going when there's no track change happening.

I'm glad you're posting all of these notes. I'm sure I'll need them.

No random battle codes shouldn't be a problem. Fewer random battle codes can be a little more difficult to find, but will check it out when I get to that point in the game.

Probably won't attempt the music code.

On the music, is it because it's more complex?
Otherwise maybe you could point me to a tutorial for GG/PAR code making for MD games? I'm a noob save for some color hacking with HivePal and Regen Debug version.

Music type codes don't interest me, so I don't think I've ever tried to make any. Not sure how difficult they are. As far as a tutorial, take a look in our library: http://gamehacking.org/library
