Sorry to disappoint you and probably some other people too, but there're some major changes in my private life (new job, moving to a new town) that cause me to temporarily stop working on Artemis. So don't expect anything to be released soon.

Good luck to your job. Let's hope there will be enough free time still

BTW, what's the main reason for the PS2 network transfers being so slow? Is it only slow under ps2sdk or is it still under PS2 Linux also?

Heh, we can always use help. Even ideas, requests, etc are useful. But, thanks for showing support It's good just to keep reminding us that we have this project, heh.

Some very interesting developments seem to have begun a few days ago. I'll give more updates when things are concrete; you should enjoy them

Network transfers are so slow because the I/O processor runs at only 36 MHz.

I see, so it's running on the IOP side...

Wouldn't it be viable to do a network stack running entirely on the EE? I see the use of the IOP as to lighten the work over the EE and archive the best thing close to multitasking but I don't see this as mandatory for some application uses since the there is support for threads (although only cooperative multitasking) and interrupts...

I've been quite busy with life lately, and immersed in books...thus, the "interesting changes" haven't been fleshed out yet. More news quite soon, I'd imagine.

We have a couple of great graphics designers, and some fresh ideas for Artemis (specifically, a bounty system which will allow us to more efficiently offer programmers rewards for their individual efforts, which we will break down into milestones, such as "Dump memory from EE", etc, and ideas for a few minor functions). Nothing concrete has changed in the last few days.
