I found something very interesting in both the Hacked & regular version UMK3 for Genesis, you can give the male/female ninjas & robot ninjas eachother finishing moves, like IMO, Rain 3rd Fatality in UMK3 Hacked should had went to Ermac, so what I did was pick Ermac, and use this following PAR Code, Character Modifier P1 (Uses Palette of Selected Character) FFC512:000?, just before finish him/her popup after I hit my opponent, I pause the game, and activate Rain palette code(FFC512:0018), unpause the game, Ermac will have Rain fighting stance, input the code for Rain 3rd Fatality and as Ermac starts to perform it, I pause the game again, this time I activate Ermac palette code(FFC512:0014) instead after Ermac starts the fatality, go back to the game, after it over & done, Ermac would go into his win stance instead of Rain's and Shao Kahn says "Ermac Wins Fatality" instead of Rain.

*After the Sega screen, you can now press start to get to the game quicker

*In the Options Menu, you can you now after another 100% to your & computer life span for longer matches, turn off background music when you fight, play in endurance more, watch computer fight or player 1 or 2 fight in one player mode, and you can make a mountain of fighters that you what to fight.

*Credits can be selected from 1 to 127

*Select screen has been modified to accommodate all the characters

*The End Credits are as of the Original Genesis Version of UMK3.

*Alot more time to choose your character(s)

This particular patch corrupts any UMK 3 rom you patch to it, doesn't seem to work.

You should know by now that you need a fresh expanded UMK3 rom for each patch Bloodreign. It's a good idea to keep one around. Anyhow, I love the improvements, especially the new char select screen. They need to do something about the 2 shao kahns tho. Unless they are gonna make them different somehow.

Actually the link you provide in the first page that goes to the main site, well the game on that site apparently is already pre-patched.


I went to that site picked up the game, and didn't even have to patch, it worked right away.

(Also Hiro I tried 4 times with a fresh UMK3 rom, each time the rom got killed by the patch.) ;D

I Never had problems to patch the rom I got from the link on the first page, I patched it several times with the update patches released and all the times worked fine

By the way is really cool the way the selection screen got arranged

I love the update, but I wish the MK2 characters pictures were in better quality, and I can't stand that Human Smoke picture Kabal_MK made, its very poorly done, I made a better one & and a Khameleon one, I tried my best to get them close to the Mortal Kombat Trilogy version as possible by using the pictures of Classic Sub-Zero & Kitana from the Genesis version of UMK3, tell me what do you think:







I pm these pictures to Kabal_MK in hopes he uses these pictures I made, because it shouldn't be any problems putting them in the game because basically they are the picture of Classic Sub-Zero & Kitana from the game, but with some editing.

Sorry, I tried to fix your image links to no avail. Um, I like the pictures. Maybe you should come up with one for Chameleon picture. The ? is out of place, I really wish they could make him rapidly change coloros instead of changing every 5 seconds. Cause they obviously can't do transparency so that would be the next best thing.

The remaining Characters are not in yet, Kabal_MK is finishing up MK1 Lui Kang, that why the rest of them are MK 2 Noob Saibot's.

Ok, I thought it might be that. Still one question though, Noob Saibots? Why have a whole row of them? Unless it's more characters? And the reason for two Shao Kahns is simple, one is the Shao where the stage is always the
Pit 3, where as the other Shao can fight on any stage.

I'm thinking once he added the remaining characters, the Noobs that are in there places will be gone, also about the 2 Shao Kahns, you will also notice that one is weaker than the other.
