I just read of this hack and downloaded the file attachments of the first post.
After extracting, I absolutely have no idea what to do to get it working. I wonder if there is any patch included.
Could someone give instructions what to do?

I played this game (called Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy) years ago on my PSP, using the Picodrive emulator. Epic awesomeness is to be had if you play as any of the bosses or as Chameleon (the male one). I even found a 10-hit combo with Chameleon that did upwards of 50% damage.

Little heads up (sorry if this is necro-posting), but any Game Genie code which works on the original Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 also works on the Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy modded game. I've played it before, and it plays like a BOSS! All boss characters are available, and some characters have multiple versions, each with his/her own fatalities/movesets! This means that MK1 Raiden has a different moveset/fatality list than MK3 Raiden! Same thing for Johnny Cage, Noob Saibot and Smoke (and any other repeat characters)!

Probably the coolest character is the male Chameleon (there is a female one, as well), which has a TON of special moves and fatalities, each pulled from the pre-existing male-ninja list, and includes moves/fatalities from Scorpion, Sub-Zero (BOTH versions), Reptile, Rain, Ermac, Smoke and Noob Saibot. Khameleon (the female one, still called "Chameleon" in the game) has every move/fatality from all three female ninjas (Jade, Mileena and Kitana).

The latest version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy features an easy-to-access cheat menu (actually, THREE of them), which includes a long-sought-after Easy Fatalities feature, where you hold the Block button and any other button (except the button assigned to down on the D-pad), and you'll perform a different fatality, depending on what button combo you press. For example, Block + Up = Friendship, Block + Start = Brutality (yes, they are in the game!), Block + LP = Fatality 1, et cetera.

I'll leave it up to you to find out what the button combo is to unlock the cheat menus...or you can just use the Game Genie code to unlock the cheats. It's up to you...There is no knowledge which is not power...those are the words of Lord Raiden. Heed them!

Sucks that the game don't work well on real hardware. I think at some point they did work on the game to make it compatible with hardware but I guess they lost the compatibility in further revisions.

i know this is a bump to a dead topic, but does anyone here play UMKT on real hardware? it seems to use address space that it shouldn't...obviously, and freezes a lot (ie the infamous MK3 blue screen of death) more so in the later versions, i am down to using version 15, and it still craps out a lot, so much that the game is unplayable
