Unicode, if you enable the "Go to Bonus Area" code at the end of Area 5 on each Stage, you'll always get to play the Bonus Area, and once you beat the Bonus Area, you'll go to Area 6 (Boss Area). Then you don't even have to use one of the "Return to Area ?? after Bonus Area" codes I posted. What is the problem?

Edit: Maybe it's because I"m not being clear when I Stage and Area. So when the game displays Area 2-5, I mean Stage 2, Area 5.

    • OK. Ignore this in this case - you can just add codes and go to rest requests...

From the 30 minute hacking competition Hybrid and I did. We only counted each "Start with" code once. We called the result a tie.

Codes found by both of us:

        SZOZTGVG Infinite Lives
        SZOUYYVG Infinite M
        ALOZYIAZ Start with 30 M, instead of 20 M
        AIOZYIAZ Start with 50 M
        OPOZYIAX Start with 99 M

        Codes found by me:

        AAXXEOYA Invincibility
        EYUZETEI Invincibility against Bosses

        Codes found by Hybrid:

        EYXZNPEI Invincibility
        IAEXIIZA Start with 5 Lives
        PAEXIIZE Start with 9 Lives

Fix for Invincibility RAM code in the DB:

        00CB:3C Invincibility

Unicode, I couldn't find a way to give you more Invincibility Time after getting hit.

I did make a Game Genie code that always gives you the Side Fighters. The problem with it is you are pretty much stuck with them even when you disable the code. So just use the RAM cheats below:

04E0:FF Always have Side Fighters (Disable 1st code (04E0:FF) 1st if you want to disable them) (1 of 2)
04E3:01 Always have Side Fighters (Disable 1st code (04E0:FF) 1st if you want to disable them) (2 of 2)

Note: You don't take any damage when you have Side Fighters. This is how the game is progammed.

                • terpsfan101, I just tested your codes for 1943 game now - most of them are fine, but I found some incorrect...

OVKLZZSV Take No Damage and Special Attack uses No Energy - This code is buggy! While it makes player actually do not lose energy from using special Thunder attack, colliding with enemies does much more damage to player's plane than playing without this code enabled!

OVKLZZSV Take Less Damage and Special Attack uses Less Energy (1 of 2)
GEKLLZAA Take Less Damage and Special Attack uses Less Energy (2 of 2) - same bug as above - player actually gets more damage with this enabled

OVKLZZSV Take Even Less Damage and Special Attack uses Even Less Energy (1 of 2)
ZEKLLZAA Take Even Less Damage and Special Attack uses Even Less Energy (2 of 2) - same bug - player actually gets more damage with this enabled

04E0:FF Always have Side Fighters (Disable 1st code (04E0:FF) 1st if you want to disable them) (1 of 2)
04E3:01 Always have Side Fighters (Disable 1st code (04E0:FF) 1st if you want to disable them) (2 of 2) - with this code side fighters doesn't fire anything, only the main plane. I don't know any point in game which requires to disable side fighters at all, so I do not see why you didn't posted the GG equivalent. As I played this game, I think you can play with side fighters enabled through the entire game.

Others codes - "Energy doesn't decrease from Time" and "Always have ... Weapon" works as expected, so I've added them.

                  • forget to add

impossible to skip bonus stages in Final Fight series and Street Fighter series? Super NES it is although i now play Street Fighter games on PS1 (Alpha and crossover with Marvel) and PS2 (as part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 & 2)

                    • Combusto Dragon, the bonus stages in Adventure Island III are similar to the regular stages in terms of gameplay. They are basically alternate stages that you can play instead of playing some of the regular stages.

And yes, it would be nice to skip the bonus stages in Street Fighter II and Final Fight games. They get old real fast.

                      • Unicode, this 1943 game has been one of the most frustrating games I've tried to make codes for. I fixed the code for taking No Damage in my original post. It required additional codes. Unfortunately, take Less Damage codes aren't going to be possible with this game due to the complex way the damage routine is handled.

Regarding the side fighters, I'm not seeing the issue where you said the side fighters don't fire anything. The side fighters are firing weapons exactly the same way with the code enabled as they would if you pick them up during gameplay without the code enabled.

                        • Thanks. You can finish with this game requests then. I didn't knew this game is hard for hacking, man.
