I can't figure out how to do it with Game Genie codes. Just use PAR codes:

7E0D75:01 Always have Max Boomerang Weapon (1 of 2)
7E0D7C:03 Always have Max Boomerang Weapon (2 of 2)

7E0D75:02 Always have Max Fireball Weapon (1 of 2)
7E0D7C:03 Always have Max Fireball Weapon (2 of 2)

7E0D75:03 Always have Max Boomerang Fireball Weapon (1 of 2)
7E0D7C:03 Always have Max Boomerang Fireball Weapon (2 of 2)

7E0D75:04 Always have Max Hammer Weapon (1 of 2)
7E0D7C:03 Always have Max Hammer Weapon (2 of 2)

I used to like the Game Genie, but found that the PAR is so much easier to use & there's no converting or encrypting necessary. I especially like how the PAR for both the Genesis & SNES came equipped with a trainer to hack cheats. That feature made paying big money to have it imported from the UK & Germany well worth it. Too bad Galoob never put a trainer on the Game Genie.
Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

      • Sometimes it is better to just use RAM codes. For instance, it took me 8 codes to make a Start with Max Health code for Super Mario Bros. 2 USA. The same thing could be accomplished with 1 RAM code (04C3:02).

The Pro Action Replay 2 would be the best cheat device to have for the Genesis. It supports both unencrypted ROM codes and RAM codes and has a built-in trainer. Plus, I don't think it disables SRAM like the Game Genie does.

        • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (World) (Rev A) (Genesis)

SBAT-BE0N Start almost every life with 1 ring

Sonic The Hedgehog (USA, Europe) (Genesis)

SA6T-BE06 Start almost every life with 1 ring

The reason for the "almost" is that I didn't feel like checking the code throughout the entire game. There may or may not be some instances where it doesn't work. The code is mainly for some of the boss fights where if you die, you are stuck always battling the boss with no rings.

            • terpsfan101, I found you was posted codes for my requests for Super Mario Bros. 2 way back at March 4th, but I seems to completely skipped and missed your posts containing them. Today I decided to read the last few pages from your thread and I accidentally found them. So, I had tested them now and all was perfectly working without any issues / glitches! Thanks man! I added them to DB now. Same applies for codes related to my Super Adventure Island's SNES requests.

Actually, anything about the Super Mario Bros 2's request about the longer / much temporary invincibility after being hit by enemies? In fact, only that one + the requests for SMB3 are left now?

Yeah, I was hoping you would test the SMB2 codes. That is why I hadn't added them yet.

I really have no idea what to do about the Fry Guy glitch. I wouldn't even call it a glitch, because you are never supposed to have an Invincibility star in that situation to begin with. And it isn't the only game where using a Starman type Invincibility can cause glitches in situations where it isn't supposed to be used.

I also can't give you more temporary Invincibility time after being hit. The value the game loads to the Invincibility timer after you are hit is 7F hex, and it is a signed value. If I make it 80 hex or higher, you won't get any temporary Invincibility after you are hit.

Yes, I will look into your SMB3 requests.

                • i'm now playing Sega Genesis' first Shining Force game with GG patched via PS2's Picodrive because i noticed that Inifinte MP has error, it said not enough MP as the the ones with Magic powers like Tao, Princess Anri, etc' magic bar stuck at 7/30 instead of 30/30 (full)

even though i'm on Chapter 5 if i patched rom with gg again, save might be lost

                      • Unicode, not optimistic about the rest of your SMB3 requests, but I will look at them. If I don't post anything about them in the next few days, it means I couldn't find them. In the meantime:

Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA) (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA) (Rev A) (NES)

ELVSVZPY Blink 1.5x longer after being hit
NYVSVZPN Blink 2x longer after being hit

I can only give you a little bit more time for the Invincibility Star:

NYOZOAEV Invincibility Star Powerup lasts slightly longer

                        • you did not look at my requests in my Ported Codes thread

                          i will post here anyways

can you make PAR codes for You Can Control Enemies/Enemies Can't Attack You, Invincibility for All Characters, Level Up During Every Battle Scene, Highest Possible Level-Up Bonuses After Level 20 and 1Hit Kills Enemy.

i can't do that by myself unless you teach me to make PAR codes for some Sega Genesis games. you know what? i'm not child. i will be 36 in 7 days

i would do the same for PS2 hackers like tell them to teach me to make codes for PS2 games. even the worst game, Metropolismania. no one hack or play this shit. because i'm sick of Complaints! it's not your typical Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. although, it has some codes like this-

https://gamehacking.org/game/104255 but the missing codes are- No Complaints and Ignore Phone Calls

sorry. i need them before April 23 because of FCC. yeah we still fight against them and my heart is broken. my mom told me i should make myself happy, smile and laugh everyday and forever. it's true. i would be happy if one of youhjackers make those codes for me.

terpsfan101- it seems you don't have PCSX2 emulator and ps2dis and other tools for it as well

                          • Combusto Dragon , let me get this straight. You need me to teach you how to RAM search, teach myself how to PS2 hack, plus look at your Shining Force requests all by April 23rd. That is a lot to ask of me.

I don't mind looking at the Shining Force requests and helping you learn how to RAM search, if you are serious about it. But lets not attach a deadline to it.

As for learning to hack PS2, I'm not there yet, but plan on getting there eventually. When? I don't know.

It's fine Combusto . If you want to learn how to RAM hack, you should come into the chat. It would be easier for me to help you, plus others could help as well. I am a bit burnt out with hacking and this site, so give me a little time to recover.
