Its been a little while. Since being absent, I've been on Steam mostly (my name on there is bigbossman1202). I got the Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Collection, which allows you to add & possibly create mods of various games. I added a few "mods" myself, which enable other games. I also discovered Tile Layer Pro, which has given me insight on hacking graphics from within games. I've been tinkering with Mega Man III for NES adding various elements into that game from other games. For example: The gems in the Gemini Man stage when you go under ground, I used clouds from SMB3 to overwrite them. Its not a major hack, but I'm still learning & experimenting. Part of the problem is being able to recognize some of the tiles & what they go to. Some are easy to figure out, others are not so much. I especially have trouble when trying to piece certain 16-bit games. For now, I'll stick to the 8-bit games, since they are simpler. I also figured out how to do some color or palette hacks (for NES titles). Here's a taste of what I found so far just on the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy:
Ninja Gaiden - NES - NTSC - RAW
The values posted are standard for all NES titles.

Hey BigBossman what kind of programs do you use for your PS1 and PS2 hacking?
because me and terpsfan101 would hack a weird game called Metropolismania. like make new codes such as-
No Complaints
Always Ignore Phone Calls
Houses/Buildings, etc Never Flash (to prevent them from moved out)
Friendship Increase To Best Friend Quickly
Never Rain And Snow

here's the video of this game-
When I hack the PS1, I use an actual PS1, game, & Gameshark Pro. Its been a while since I've hacked PS1 titles. I've had trouble using some of the PS1 emulators, mostly as relates to obtaining a proper BIOS file.
For PS2, most of the codes I've posted were by tedious, code experimenting. This is mostly by taking an already existing code, & making slight changes to the address, which is time consuming. A hexadecimal calculator helps. It also requires a good bit of luck & patience.
Since I got a laptop, I've been hacking my PS2 games using the debugger on the PSCX2 emulator & Cheat Engine. This works so much better & easier than my previous method.
I still have issues with the FPS on most games. Some are playable with low FPS & some are not. For example: Burnout will run at about 40% & Flatout will run at about 25%. I can work with those. Fight Night Round 3 runs at about 7%, which is horrendous. Hacking & trying to get through a single round is torture. Then there are some games that won't play at all. Games like SWAT: Global Strike Team & Rocky won't play at all. Even after making tweaks on the PSCX2 emulator, nothing really changes.
As relates to the game Metropolismania, I don't have that yet. It is on my list of games to get though. Whenever I get it, I'll see what I can find.
