    I wonder if the ASM codes have a pointer to them? if we can track it back to the original pointer we might have a universal code.

    This game requires some more RAM hacks (ASM will not be universal for this game due to it loading each level separately as an exe. The PSX version is this way, too. I'm almost done with the codes for that version). A debug menu is available to access any level (see GameWinners.com). I have no idea what the "World Peace" option is for (maybe continues or something). Cheat mode is just invincibility. The menu on the left is for the retail, and the other is for the beta. Retail codes work for the beta also (only the debug menu, TV interlace and bright pause screen codes).

    Earthworm Jim 2 (NTSC)

    Auto Play Ending
    060104D0 454E
    060104D2 442E
    060104D4 4249
    060104D6 4E00
    Note: This will take effect upon bootup.

    NTSC (Beta)

    The only playable levels are:

    Anything But Tangerines
    Granny Chair
    Puppy Love Part 1
    Inflated Head [Circus of the Scars for the Saturn]
    Hammer Head
    ISO 9000

    Unknown codes:
    Pause the game and press Z(8).

    NTSC (Retail)

    Toggle TV Interlace (a guess. I think it does this):
    Pause the game and press C, A, Left, Down, Left, Right, Left(2)

    Unknown codes:
    Pause the game and press Up, Right(2), Down, B, Right(3).
    Pause the game and press Z(7), A.

    I tried many methods and programs using the button values you posted and got nothing, so I did unknown searches till I got some results and seems to work with this game. As for being game specific I havent encountered any other game that uses these but then again I just got back into saturn hacking,post your codes so we can keep this thread kicking.

    Interesting find. How did you find that out? I don't recall seeing those values when I mucked around with the pad and trying to see if joker codes were possible. Is it game specific only? Does it depend on the type of controller and/or pad mode used for the game? I really need to get cracking and post my codes. Distractions from other systems/games and/or real life is to blame for that.

    Well just discovered the Saturn uses Reverse Jokers like PSX here is the values and a game which uses them:
    Code:
    Reverse Joker Buttons map
    Up = FFEF
    Down = FFDF
    Left = FFBF
    Right = FF7F
    L Button = FFF7
    R Button = FF7F
    A = FFFB
    B = FFFE
    C = FFFD
    Start = F7FF
    X = BFFF
    Y = DFFF
    Z = EFFF
    Mode = 7FFF
    Code:
    [COLOR=Blue]Dracula X (J)
    [/COLOR]
    Reverse Joker P1

    Good Idea, odd thing too was I used a different Master code and some codes worked like they are supposed to and others didn't then I tried this posted Master code and the other codes that didn't work worked and the others didn't till I tried to activate them during a boss fight.Well I plan to make afew more codes for the game and if anyone has any requests post here or I will just randomly hack different games.

    I think the weird side effect of the joker code activating all the other codes is because of the enable code itself. It's like this on the PS2 as well. Depending on the type of hook you make for your enable code, your codes and game will act funny. Try making an enable code in the pad routine (if that is possible) and see what happens then.

    One is the standard ram code that everyone can make and every game has and the other is the routine that actually makes the ram changes, so its like the GG version of a PAR code.

    Excellent helder!

    I'm bringing my Saturn games down to my living room from my bedroom closet tomorrow hopefully. I will have some requests then!

    What is the difference between the 2 health codes for Megaman X3?

    There ya go, as for the ammo its not a static address I wish this worked in the debugger so I could trace it back to the instruction and NOP it. I will make the stage codes later.

    Sure it will give me something new to do while working lol, be sure to look at the BSFree section for codes also so you don't request existing codes.
