In this way the ISO file contains only the program data. In this way it's possible to patch the codes into the ISO file by looking for the indicated array of bytes. As Liquidpolicenaut said.

EDIT: I've added instructions on how to apply codes into the CD image at all the code database's pages of the PC Engine games of which I've created codes.

Yes, TurboRip is the program I use and that's exactly the way I do it as well

I can confirm that all the codes he created for for PC-E/Turbo CD in fact work when using hex editor to apply the codes. The few I had issues with I had to make sure to convert the images I had specifically to .iso/.wav files. If a game has multiple .iso files, check all of them for the codes to change! For Valis III, as an example, the games has multiple .iso files but only track number 63 is the one to edit...

P.S. - All the codes for the Sega CD games also work. I saw another user asking about the codes for Anet Futatabi and I can confirm the codes work for the entire game

    Many thanks lee4!
Didn't know that D codetype for Saturn works as you described.
I've to rework my codes for few games.
    I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
Abount Guardian Heroes didn't checked that site but the notes tells the truth.
At the end of the first stage if you have activated a cheat to manipulate the HP value the game hangs because the player have to loss some HP to let the player's animation to go further.

    EDIT:
About Guardian Heroes I noticed that a global codes activator is already created so I can use that.
    I'm telling about this code:
    D6033C60 270F

And now I understand why for some games I've seen the master code with codetype F and another master code with codetype D.
Sorry for my ignorance and thanks again for your informations.

Many thanks for your precious informations.
I will try to understand how to divide the ISO from the music tracks and I will do some tests to correctly apply the codes to the game image.
I think isobuster can be used but I'm not sure.
