Every version of GPSP Kai I've tried so far has had the same exact problem: it plays GBA games (even patched ones) just fine, but the cheat engine is completely broken. On both the Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Ruby hacks I was playing, I could only get two codes to work: infinite cash and infinite Master Balls. However, on Pokemon Ruby, I was only able to get the infinite cash code to work...via TempAR.
Then, seeking a GBA emulator with a fully-functioning cheat engine, I tried the original GPSP, version 0.9. Boy was I hot under the collar when I found out...it couldn't even play a single GBA game, even without any cheats active! All I got was the irritating "Black Screen of Death", forcing me to simply HOME out of the blasted piece of electronic gobbledygook.
Frankly, I'm beginning to get increasingly appalled at the disturbing proliferation of faulty/broken software and codes, while the actual working software and codes are becoming harder and harder to find. There are a scant few codes on this site which I have confirmed to be "fake" or otherwise non-working, possibly due to typos while the code's creator was copying it from his/her personal database, or due to an improperly administered decryption, encryption or conversion. I cannot completely count out the possibility of GPSP Kai's broken cheat engine causing the non-working codes and black-screen errors, though.
Might I request someone to point me in the right direction (before I pull my BEARD hairs out, one by one, out of sheer frustration...ow), in finding a GBA emulator for the PSP (mine is a white PSP Go with 6.20 pro-B10 cfw), complete with a fully functioning cheat engine?
