      Okay, all credit still goes to hybrid for helping me out again. erm.. hybrid, regarding the battle #3 codes , about flik's fire spears; the codes which you hack doesn;t work me. that's why i hacked it again.

      And surprisingly, the MAX Atk and Def for flik's works (battle #3). now i'm getting blur too. :?

          Questions! :

          in any of the major battle, i'll try hacking using [PEC] to hacked for max stats. okay, i load and played the game, before the battle starts, i do a search of "equal value" to "0'. then once it starts, i moved it to a character, let's take viktor for e.g. he has a base atk of 8. so i run my hacking program again and now i key-ed in the value of "8" . of coz it gives me a lot of the results searched.

          so what i'm trying to understand here is, are those values increased values, decreased, no change or different values? i've tried hacking using different numbers but i can;t get the exact reading. so just trying to ask some around here. thanks.

            The problem is that it severely changes the memory layout when it loads a major battle. The variable where the stats might be is rather unlikely to be 0 before the load.

            I'm not sure if you can do this on PEC, but I'd recomend doing an unknown search before a major battle, and then looking for the exact value of the stat. This might not work, even if that is possible because of the many different ways to store a value... There's also the problem that the value you're seeing in game might not be the one it uses.

              liquid : nah, it's not confusing. but erm, unknown search , in [PEC] is it not equal value? so we start from "0" , then once it begins, we moved onto them? coz i've tried till i want to cry (for god's sake) hahaha

                there is another problem with doing a search like that the total attack/defense is a cumlitive of all the character's in the group
                that is why the hero has a max value of let's say 5F and not 63
                that means that there is 4 attack points that the other characters are contributing.

                  so it's just like;actually the other characters does boost ATK power to the unti right? for e.g. my main unit is "hero,nanami,jowy" from the beginning, right? jowy does add +2 ATk power to hero's unit and nanami does add +1 ATK to hero's unit,right? just for example.

                  so the beginning of the battle #1 would be 6 - 3 (from nanami and jowy), is that the case ? but then i also have tried it using this method to hack and gives me no result. hahaha

                  i'll try again. thanks.

                    yes this is the case an easy way to test it is try going C up from the other Rune address in battle 1 the address is
                    801B4C30 try going to 801B4C3C and setting it instead to 60 and you should still get the same result
