Just move over one byte to the left, and using the hex editor patch that value instead.
In fact, in future cases where a code works, but not exactly as it should, I would recommend trying the next byte to the left instead.

Mickey Mania (U)
Infinite Lives And Invulnerability only works on 1st part of Steamboat Willie so I wonder if this could be happening to Mickey Mania (E).

Here's a working Infinite Lives code for the 2nd part of Mickey, hopefully it works for more than just that stage.

I haven't used MEKA in years, so I'm not sure.
If you use F5 to make a savestate with Fusion, the RAM is contained in the dump.

Very tired at the moment, but I looked through a couple of Game Gear games earlier and didn't find the button cheats. The most I could dump was the RAM with MEKA. Is it not possible to dump the contents of ROM memory for any game? Does the on-board memory option do just that?

I don't know how I forgot all about PPF-O-Matic, I've used it a bunch.
I used LIPS for a Game Gear game last, I just happened to have it on my hard drive, so I used it.
I didn't know it was only made for small files at the time.

Oh damn, I hope you are testing the patches before burning the disc; I'll try to be more watchful for mistakes.
I can see why you wouldn't want the mp3 ripped ISO's I have, since you need a true backup.
I guess that the Sega CD was out before having to worry about copy protection.
