there you can find my double dragon 1 & 2 select character codes for mame. allowing you to play as abobo or else other enemy!.

they are a little limited cause only the first button (punch) works. and not the kicks. but some enemies simply dont have some kind of moves. and anyway you can perform many attacks with they. apart, is a true miracle that they can be playable afer all.

so, those are very cool codes for else double dragon fan.

apart i post others few games codes too.

of course, else feedback is welcome. i hope you enjoy they

for mame cheat finders, i also included the new search method i discover for find this kind of select char codes in this kind of old beat em up games. (those games with the 2 players that are almost equal, like double dragons, combatribes, etc)

i hope that someone can find something useful using that method.

hi to all.

i have a little surprise for all.


i create a little minihack for sonic 3/sonic 3 & knuckles. using the cccgp tool and the game genie codes that Ugetab bring me some time ago.

it recreates that very rare sonic 3 pirate arcade machine, that i play years ago and i already talk about. (by now it not was emulated in mame).
that arcade is a true challenge for sonic fans. cause, only have 2 minutes and not 10.

i make one pack with the ips patches, plus some things. like instructions for learn how to use the ccgp tool, some patching tools, and instructions for know how win in the last levels (the more harder).

however, take it easy!. this time hack are very possible of being completed. not are almost imposible or very frustrating, like s3&k master editions or those others.

of course, i call this time minihacks "Ugetab" hacks, in their memory. and because without his help with that game genie time codes, i can do absolutely nothing.

-3 different versions with 2, 3 and 4 minutes. that you can call "hard", "normal", and "easy" versions if you like.
-some free tools (the more common, for those who dont know too much about handling ips patches). plus others like the cccgp tool.
-other ips hack for s3&k, named "knuckles & tails" maked by TI. (that is compatible with this time hack).
-and too, i included tricks for can finish this s3/s3&k 2 minutes hacks in the last harder levels.

finally, i add instrucctions for handle the cccgp tool. for those who want to learn how to use the cccgp tool and create ips patches using game genie codes.
(for example, you can add that cheats to your pancakes streets of rage chars hacks).

apart, you always can use free my sor3/sor2 cheats ips patches. posted some time ago in the sor-net hacking thread. (created with the game genie codes maked by others (credited), and the cccgp tool).

There' s no such tool existed to convert from savestate to Game Genie Codes.

hi silentkiller. uff that looks too hard for me.... usually the stage loads the boss it have programmed. is not like the sor games where (with good hability as you have), you can change the enemy for others.

look this!: i see some interesting sonic 3 & knuckles states with one youtube video.

they are cheats for use with sonic 3 & knuckles beetwhen savestates and game genie codes. that makes that knuckles can play every sonic boss in their way.

is really interesting, however this will be much more better in form of a hack with all this added. the game genie codes can be easily converted to one patch using cccgp, however the states i dont know how.

i hear about that there exist one complicated method for obtain game genie codes or something related from one save state...

if could be possible can convert one savestate to one ips patch... then dont will be too hard create all the required patches from the game genie codes (using cccgp) and the savestates, and then create the hack "s3&k knux goes the sonic way".

one time that we have all the separated patches, we only need to patch them to one same original rom, and then using lunar ips tool, we can obtain one single patch with all the cheats together.
(comparing the original s3&k rom with the patched rom, lunar ips creates easily the patch).

the s3&k game sometimes fails in load one boss because you are other player (for example sonic 3 sonic final boss playing with knuckles).

well, in the s3&k the challenges hack, there exist stages where you can change directly your char by pressing A button beetwhen sonic or knuckles. this will be fantastic for can play with else char against else boss... however this hack is only for play separated stages as challenges of time, rings etc.

sorry silent killer, but i dont have luck trying to change the colour palettes with dbz.

anyway, it looks that this is controled by the game, and is not a thing that you can easy control.

i know it, because i can find the select char body code for both players . allowing to change the char in else moment.

however, even if you try to deceive the game with this, and select p2 goku and then change your p1 char to goku in the middle of the combat, and then do a p1 and p2 pause, when you back to game then the game put the p2 in the correct shadow palette it must have. cause now the p1 and p2 are now the same character.

the only codes that i can find for change the colours are anly for a part of the outfit, and they are very rare...

it looks like changing the code like with those of p2, maybe you can obtain other parts of the outfit changed or rare effects. but saddly theres not a single code for simply change the outfit to normal or shadow colours.

saddly i cant find the damn select char code. theres no way!.

it could be really interesting can select the char, thinking that the robot superman is the true final boss of the game. and you can choose it after pass one determinated stage.


well, if someone are interested of try to search this, these are the stages where you can find the avaliable 5 players that this game have.

stages from 00 to 02 normal superman
stages from 03 to 04 robot superman
stage 05 to new superman
stage 06 super boy

damn... i forget in what stage appears the 5 char: metal superman :P... but that are one of the last stages...

the key sure is find the chars order, but maybe is too hard and is better search this with game genie...

oh, you mean in the pc recopilation games?
well i dont search too much codes for that pc compilations version because after all, are the same genesis games that you can play and cheat in kegafusion more easy. (and with all the codes already finded in here).

but i think is good that they release this kind of compilations for people can know about that old school games, and for else who want to have it

apart, to be frankly art money causes many problems with some pc games, because their memory search for that game are random.
dont get me wrong... the program is a true jewel and very useful, but is very boring have to search the same codes in every play session. because the codes finded the other time now are useless :P.

of course this not happens always... but because that i prefer search codes on the old mame32 (the new dont allow you to search codes) and kegafusion or another consoles emulators .

oh, reading recently sor-net and the re are some advances, now they are testing chars i think.

ps: and i already upload the ips patch for that hack thanks to nabarl from youtube. go to sor-online forum and dowload there the bk2 ivex 2011 hack.
is very interesting, bacause this hack causes very curious changes in the playability/system of the game.

I thought sor online forum provided PC cheats addresses for streets of rage series. I don't see any of them (I mean streets of rage series in SEGA Genesis Classic Collection Gold Edition & Sega Classic Pack 5).

How's the progress of sor2 syndicate wars?

--bonus stages cheat codes--

FF3F1D:0000 inf time in "power cola" bonus stages.
note: the time can be selected with the last 2 numbers, but it works very rare. in fact, 00 is infinite 30 seconds... :P

FF3E71:0015 inf cans in "power cola" bonus stages.
note1: the number of cans of the machine are 20. get out all the cans makes the machine explodes and pass the stage.
note2: when you already uses this code, is totally imposible to make that the machine have again limited cans.
anyway, maybe you dont are interested of use this code, bacause the cheat in this stage is get out all the cans, and make explode the machine for obtain 1 extra life
note3: this code dont works in the machines of the normal stages.


--rare codes--
FF2C3B:0001 p1 invulnerable to punches (touch enemies or others can hurt you)
note 1: works with 1 player, if you try with 2 players, then fails.
note 2: looks that this code really effects to the enemies attacks, and not to the players.
