hi, this is a recently new hack from sonic retro.
however more than a sonic 1 hack, is a true new game, because you play as robotnick in a full new game, where you must catch the animals to send they into that ussual trap machines you break with sonic after pass the bosses.

i read the new rules, and until i remenber all they are common sense things.

apart, i see one post of one guy who pay for a cheat.. ¿?. this is very absurd!.
that must be the treat for the -no pay for codes- new rule.
when i read it in first time, it looks like a joke for me. i think: "pay? who the heck has to buy a cheat code? hehe".

apart, i read a part of the treat and i think that is very very easy can find codes for change stats by yourselft if they are big numbers. since is supposed that those kind of codes are more easy to find.
you only need the kegafusion search engine and learn a little how to use the pro action replay search engine, that is only or basically, count things for obtain one code.

at least the only problem can be that a big number are splitted on 2 o 3 codes. else code for a part of the number.

apart, a little modification to that codes, gives you the other stats codes easily. i do that with final fantasy vii pal spanish version.


by other side, the rules only say that you cant post roms for avoid problems, not ips patches.

you know, only roms or piracy are prohibited. not the hacking for patching ips roms with cheats , or for modify the game always if you dont planned to sell it.

this is for avoid that "the troll of the licenses" can come here and give problems to the guys just for post a rom of a game maked many many years before... :P

so, whats exactly the problem?


change the treat: about sor, gsaurus strikes again. this time he does "mdv" a sound tool for can edit sounds on streets of rage and else other genesis/megadrive games!. this guy never stops... also it includes even sound guides as i read.

this will change the sor hacks doing they even more detailed, since now can included the voices of the char you make, and not the voices of the sor base char you used for it. a thing that until now only hackers can do.

the sor2 sketch turner hack uses it.
by the way, it give one problem to me. their last kick on the combo sprites fails.


however is not a problem of use too much animations for do the char compared with the original base char used. is only a fail of use kegafusion. with gens it works perfect. (maybe you also notice this fail playing it...)

i know gsaurus are too busy, but i want to ask him if are interested of be a menber of this site.

i always post his things here not only for you and the others sor fans, also because is stuff sure will be very interestig for those people interesting on hacking in here.

I don't know how to create Game Genie codes for SOR 1 and I quit hacking sega genesis games because of Gemfire incident which caused new rules to be created.

I'm working on different game now.

As you can see my avatar picture has changed to a robot avatar.

You can guess what kind of game I'm hacking on.

so, silentkiller you dont have your "change galsias to mrx" cheats gg codes?

in making a hack with cheats or things i can put on it using gg codes.

however, saddly i also dont have the gg code for the cheats (select stage and 7 lives extra options on) in streets of rage 1.

even i have a gg code from gsaurus, that make possible select not only 7, also 9 lives on options. but its useless if i dont have the select stage gg code...

i will try to ask gsaurus, because he post some adresses on sor-online sor1 hacking treat. but i try to follow their instructions and using the hexplorer, that is very rare to me, as a rookie i am.

so i dont know how change that gsaurus adresses to gg codes or at least how can get that ips patch i want to extract...

so, its supposed that you can use this, to adquire the gg codes or at lest the ips patch. by use lunar ips tool.

also, looks that with lunar ips tool you can use one normal rom, compared with one hacked rom, for extract the ips patch use for make that hack.
thats the way is supposed gsaurus says how is possible obtain the ips for sor1 level select and 7 lives cheat.


however im frustrate now :P. because i dont have idea of how insert that adresses into that hexadecimal editor :P, and i cant do nothing for can get that sor1 cheats ips patch that i want to do...


so, i be forced to continue using only cccgp with gg codes until i can learn something more.. :P

ps: gsaurus launch a sor2 sketch turner hack (comix zone).
is very cool, but for some raison it fails to me when in try to end the normal combo. the final kick of it have graphic glitches for me. ¿?

is this a fail for use ipswin and is better that i use lunar ips for patching? this is very rare...

please, if someone try it, and patch it with one program that make the hack works perfect without that kick sprites fail, please tell me how you exactly do it :P

i dont supposed this can be the rom, since the rom is always the same sor2 (U) whenever the site you download it... :P

or maybe is because i patch sometimes the hacks in a very long way folder. but, until i know this never give me none problem.

As for streets of rage series, I'm no longer touch them anymore.

Soon or later, gsaurus from sor.net will be able to hack sor1 completely and make a sor1 syndicate hack similar to sor2 syndicate hack.

It's only a matter of time.

silentkiller, im thinking about your habilities with the game genie codes, and about some interesting gg codes that you make, in the same way as those similar sor gsaurus codes.

for example: the codes you use for change that galsias enemies to mrx on streets of rage 1 final battle save state.
and also the codes maked on sor1 by gsaurus. those for have the double of enemies on single player, or 2 bosses on single player.


i think that can be really interesting make a ips hack using all that codes that can be useful and interesting for be added to that hack, using cccgp.


so, please can you say me what are the exactly gg codes you use for make that save state with 3 mrx on the sor1 ending?
also, if you have another gg codes that can be useful for this sor1 hack, let me know.

(aside note: i know that this maybe can be hard... but also can be interesting have one gg code that makes that kill one mrx dont ends the game if you dont kill the others (something as when you kill one of the 2 clone blaze bosses, or one of the 2 bosses playing a 2 players game. however this is not too important after all)


for example, im interested about all those codes that changes the playability. making the game more hard, interesting or something.
and also about all the codes that enables the cheats of the game.
the codes that enable the level select, 7 lives in options, secret dificultys (this on sor3), can select clone chars, infinite continues, etc. just like those codes i take for the sor2 cheats patch.

in begin, i want to make a hack near the original game. but i also can do one "alternate version" allowing the chars to have "turbo combo" or something rare like that. (only just in the case that you have one of that kind of codes).


i will start with sor1. but im also interested in all those sor/bk saga gg codes that enables cheats or interesting things in all the games.

anyway, i think that there not must exist too much codes for that kind of rare things that i search. but i will do the possible if a find some interesting gg codes for else sor game.



for example:

my first attemp was make a streets of rage 1 hack, with that 3 cool gsaurus gg codes. for the mighty galsias gang.

the 3 gg codes are for jump the police call intro, can move during the police call attack, and also fight against a entire army of several galsias that appears. (fantastic codes!)

i can make the ips hack, however it not works fine . due that when you kill all the galsias gang the game freezes there, and you cant continue playing. a true pity.


i will need a code for can continue playing there and can fight vs the boss of the level, or at least for ends the stage. apart, can be usefull another for inf continues (due that galsias kill you many times).
(note: i already make a inf continues par code for sor1. but like i explain, is useless on cccgp. until now all that par codes that i try to convert to gg codes, not works)

even exist some gg codes maked by gsaurus on the "sor1 hacking" sor-online forum. they are for enable free scroll, or ends the stage. but none of them works in there :P.

the free scroll code dont make that the next enemies appears for continue playing. and the end level simply dont works in that situation (after kill all that army of galsias).


well, thats all. this is the way i want to make some sor hacks using gg codes with the ccgp.
many people would prefer play a hack that using separate codes. and i think that make a hack using a bunch of gg codes can be really interesting.

well, i dont know for sure, but my codes hosted in the database can be a 25% or something like that...
i know that i make long post, with long explanations for others know how i find the code, etc. sorry for that.
but anyway i really like that someone finally send they to the database...



look, finally i starting to make patches using game genie codes and the cccgp tool!. is very cool

saddly the par codes that usually i make, dont works in none way . even when they have their own option :P. this must be due that works in that different ram way as you guys explain me here.

but also dont works try to convert they into game genie codes . ¿?... thats rare.


even i try to add they one number that i take from sor-online page, but i think this only works with save states to par codes or viceversa, and not par to game genie codes and viceversa. (i take that info from one very old instructions that the site have there).


really im so sad for cant do nothing with my own par codes. or for cant convert they to gg codes. due that when i use the "game genie code converter" tool with my par codes, the resulting game genie codes dont work on kegafusion, when i test they.


please, someone can say if i miss something?

theres a way by adding one number or something rare to that par codes, that i can use for convert par codes to gg codes that works?
or at last, theres a way for can convert streets of rage 1, 2, 3 and bare knuckle 3 par codes, to game genie codes that really works on sor games?



apart of this, im very happy for can do something more that only search par codes! . now i can make ips patches with permanent cheats using other people game genie codes.

the cccgp program causes me a lot of problems at the begin!!, because my own mistakes as beginner... and also because some codes dont works with the program, and some codes cause that the program crash, and rare things like that :P.

but it looks that this happens to me, when i try to add the codes -by open a text file- with the codes inside. when i paste the codes over the program that fails dont happens.


so, using the gg codes maked by other people, that i recopile from gshi or sor-online, i make this streets of rage 2 ips patch cheats, and one for select level on sor3 at this moment.

the sor2 ips patch enable all the cheats in game. (extra options, can choose same character, and inf continues).

hi, i have some codes for some games i play recently. they are for sega master system and genesis...


Golden Axe (Sega Master System):
--------------------------------
00C004:0X change type of magic. x= 2 thunder, 1 fire, 0 earth.
00C003:0x select starting level. x= from 0 to 4.

00c009:0A make appear the continue screen.
note 1: make appear the continue screen in else moment. even if the "game over" message are on the screen. so you can continue always. but enable it fast, or you end your play!.
note 2: the counter are freeze, so disable the code for can continue.



alien 3 (sega master system):
-----------------------------
00c423:xx select level
note 1: with this code the stage number is ok!. and remenber that stage bosses not have number!. xx= 13, final boss.
note 2: for 2 players in final boss, use level select code, plus weapons codes (you dont have none weapon at start). and one "easy kill final boss" code if you want. dont forget disable the level select code after the p1 are on the level. this avoid repeat the level and both players will be at the last level.

00c103:xx select level -alternate.
note 1: with this code the stage number is wrong. and remenber that the stage bosses not have number!. xx= 13, final boss.

instructions- just avoid it at begin (dont shoot him there!), and follow him down at the down right corner or simply there at the bottom, for kill him easily using 1 bazooka or even the machine gun!.


VERY IMPORTANT note about final boss:

without codes the final boss is a hell. he can be killed ONLY!! by shot him crouch and using bazooka or firethrower at their head (not shoot him too much with both weapons or you waste the ammo and also makes him turn away!).
you must be shooting from the upper/left corner platform. and waiting for him go back all the time needed.
but if he suddendly turn away, then it changes is path!. and you must follow him down on the right bottom corner where he is blocked. and use grenades or the machine gun to force him to back to his initial patter moves.

however with this par code, he changes his patter and also becomes easy to kill, like else other easy level boss!. and even with a single shot of else of the 4 weapons!.



ps: i find this codes at high hours of the dawn... :P but it deserves the work.
i really love this game!. im a big alien fan since i see the "aliens" movie. and this is the best alien 3 console game version no doubt. even it have a rare alternate ending where ripley survive! .

however, the final boss is a TRUE nightmare. even i think that my game are broken or something!? when i buy it... :P.
but after many pain trying and trying, and talking with a friend that also have the game, we finally find the solution.
kill the final boss is only possible following that intructions. and now is also posible using that new par code

ps2: about the sor hacking scene... gsaurus releases a new version of the streets of rage 2 extreme hack (v83). now the bosses have more life bars for not are too easy to kill.
also he launch other hack named "sor2 on drugs" with rare stage changes.
apart, we have a new hack from klares, a middle cyborg version of lightning.
as always, the ips patches downloads are on the soronline forum. enjoy .

also, gsaurus has descover many interesting streets of rage 1 game genie codes!.
they are for makes rare things, like have one army of galsias in streets of rage 1, call the police without the intro, or even can move when you call the police, etc.

apart, he has posting some adresses from redcrimson (the other sor top hacker, who makes bare knuckle 3 dx) that can be used for change some things when you attemp to do a sor2/3 hack using pancake tool. that look very useful.

and thats because not too many people know that there are a way to play with them using my par codes.
thats why i try to use cccgp to make patch or something for can select they, but dont works cause all that problems.

however since the game have more than one secret char, the true way is that someone like the game and make one hack.

i think that the best way for make this in this tmnt tournament and some other games, is simply change the limit number of moves with the cursor on the selecction screen.
that mean that you can free access to the secret chars over that limit that the cursor have on the select char selection screen.
thats the way how i make the cheat, with a select cursor position par code .

samurai shodow with amakusa, or art of fighting can be other good examples for a hack more or less in the same style... dreaming is free

however, about genesis hacking apart of the sonic games, streets of rages, mortal kombats, golden axe 3 and only a few more, i really dont know too many hacks maked for genesis games... :P

FINALLY! i can get my vacances and i have too many things to do that i leave behind... but when i rest a little and i end all this things that i want to make, then i will finally post my mslug codes and double dragon 2 select char codes.

by the way, is a true pity that this cool website dont have one section for mame codes. in special for the old system before mame32 v126. because there are a lot of cool codes outhere in places like the puggsy oficial mame cheats forum, but they not are ordened like in this place.

also, puggsy looks like only ore really interested on those codes that really are useful for a game, like inf lives and things like that...
however there are many other codes that can be used for make rare things like transform your character to another (like those sor2 codes of here for skates looks like shiva, for example) or other really funny codes for save marian on the double dragon 2 intro of being killed, see one unused gun for the turtles on teenage mutant ninja turtles (is the "mutation gun" from one of the firsts episodes?), or even change the ending in prehistoric isle, and other things.

i know that more cheat databases, the more problems :P, but honestly, i really miss here in gshi, can have one cheat database also for the mame games. (over all for the old system cheat codes).


for can have finally ordened all that mame cheats codes losing here and there in the oficcial mame cheat forums. all they ordened and together .
and including not only the useful cheats, also all those others cool, curious or funny cheats codes that exists for many games...

however i know this is more work. even if i look that my own codes here not are placed in the cheat database at this moment. for a problem of lack of time, i supposed :P
