Added a log reset button because I wanted one.
I ended up leaving the IPS thing as is after testing it. Hopefully this isn't a big deal. The way CCCGP creates an IPS can be problematic because it does so before checking if the rom has a header. Mine makes the patched rom then builds it off the difference in it and the original.

Do you have ucon64.exe in the same directory? If not it won't work, this is a needed file.Originally posted by lee4 View PostI have no idea

Download ucon64-2.0.0-win32-mingw-bin.zip and extract ucon64.exe to same folder as GGGuy.exeLast edited by 47iscool; 03-19-2014, 02:50:37 PM.

just do something like this
Code:Changelog 03-19-2014 Okay I added some checks and notifications when ucon64 is missing. 03-19-2014 Added a log reset button because I wanted one. 03-18-2014 Uses ucon64 for the IPS creation. Please test and let me know of issues. 03-17-2014 Fixed a SNES bug today that affected Battletoads in Battlemaniacs. If you've had any SNES issues please redownload. 01-24-2014 I upped the line count for the world's longest Game Genie code. 01-22-2014 Added Nintendo (Alt) and Game Boy/Gear (Alt) options. With 6 digit codes this patches only the first offset rather than all potential offsets. If the default doesn't work or cause the game to crash try this. 01-20-2014 Added another small feature. Multiple codes can be on a single line, separated with a + sign. This allow you to use codes like this without splitting them into multiple lines. Both " + " and "+" are valid. 01-19-2014 New version is up with Master System and PC Engine support (using supplied codes). Both systems are tested against No-Intro roms but should adjust the offset if a header is found with Good roms etc. 01-17-2014 This is a small Windows utility for applying Game Genie codes to roms. This saves you the trouble of having to enter them each time the game is played.

Nice! That looks about right. I'll include that in the GGGuy.txt the next time I update.
Is there anything else we need? I was thinking about having it create a txt file with the used codes. I am not really ambitious enough to do any kind of database or website integration.Last edited by Kyle; 03-21-2014, 06:58:28 PM.

Are you getting output in the results field at the bottom? If not it means there are no matches. I can't get this game to take codes (also fails with CCCGP and ucon64). I'll figure out why.
Edit: Try this build please. This should allow roms under 48KB to use 8 digit codes. Let me know if you have issues. I tried it on a few different smaller games with success.

Edit2: I tried a lot of smaller games and they all worked. If you want a very exciting copy of Excite Bike try this block. There's a lot of fun codes on this site. My kiddo was laughing hard when we played it like this.

There was another build for SMB3 wonky codes. Next came Game Boy Color support. It is cool you guys made Game Genie codes for GBC even though that wasn't supported by hardware.
I also updated the Master System codes file since I've been getting hit up for those.

Real change log as requested:

20140319: Added nags for missing uCON64
20140319: Added log reset button
20140318: Reworked GUI and added IPS creation
20140317: Fixed a SNES issue that affected Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
20140124: Bumped line count to 200 after a code was shown that was ~160 lines
20140122: Alternate modes for patching, later removed in favor of file size
20140120: Multi-line code support, separated with a + sign. Both " + " and "+" are valid
20140119: Added support for Master System/PC Engine (using supplied codes)
