There's a lot of "negativity" in the PS2 scene, that you won't find in this thread, and certainly not from me. If FMCB 1.8 or 1.7 was not open source in the first place there would be some real legal issues with Sony, as it is illegal to usurp copyrighted hardward or software under a private license and then attempt to enforce it.
(However since it is open source and distributed as such, no legality has been violated, now, I could easily submit this as evidence to Sony's Legal team, maybe they would be interested, in what legal actions are taken against me, and conversely against sony, but I do not promote that kind of negativity.)
FMCB used to contain copyrighted software from sony, so I am lead to believe that it did at some point, it does not now. Neither have I introduced copyrighted software into any of my short list of releases, as can be clearly seen. In the future I do plan on including a text document pointing to where the original source released publicly can be obtained or of such implication, since this is basically seen in this capacity I largely thought this was unnecessary, so to speak.
