  • Team CodeMajic join Project Artemis!

CodeMajic and Artemis are hereby merging, to form one solid project. It will remain under the name Artemis, and will reside at GSHI (though an official site will soon be erected as well), and the members of the existing CodeMajic team will now be members of Project Artemis.

I feel quite ecstatic about this new development, and I think it will give us some serious fuel for progress. Several new minds will be cranking on the project, and we'll also be pursuing additional talent more vigorously.

At least at the moment, consideration is being given to a sort of "reward" system, by which progress will be responded to with some sort of (perhaps monetary) compensation.

Artemis will remain an open-source project. Upon completion, both the source and binary(ies) will be released for free, and we will also make available both a pre-installed memory card version (utilizing FMCB, most likely), and a bootable CD version (in other words, neither release will require modding or swap discs), for a nominal cost. Much of the proceeds from these will likely go into research and development for subsequent Artemis releases on other platforms.

As such, the SVN repository will be increasing in volume, and we will be scouting for programmers, graphic designers, and people with any ideas or requests whatsoever for functions and capabilities in a PlayStation 2 hacking system.

All I can say beyond that is that I think this will be quite fun

This is very much real, we have joined forces about two weeks ago and I have come back from the dead to redeem my team. Get ready for something big.

Oh man... Very good news! I can't wait for the first (public if I can't help in a private) beta!

Nice. Although I'm more interested into the debugging capabilities offered by the project rather than the cheating system.

As are more than a few people. It's especially good that we have additional members, and the potential fruit of their minds, regardless of their specific expertise.

Your help would, of course, be greatly appreciated, should you ever have the ability to lend it

I'm currently already busy with some projects but I can give a help as a beta tester.

If you'd like to learn some C, let me know, and I'll provide you with some reference.

You could also download GSHI_PS2SDK: http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3097

                    ...read the Win32 PS2 Dev. Intro: http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3103

...and learn by compiling some of the compilable source I've assembled (mostly by others): http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3098

Or you could give us ideas and requests for functionality, design, aesthetic qualities (color schemes, etc), or anything else you like.

Any help at all, and even support (letting us know you're still interested) makes a big difference. So, thanks

It's nice to see that people are starting to get interested. What exactly is it supposed to do again? lol, for some reason I keep thinking it's just another form of a cheat device but with more in-game features...

Yes, Artemis will be a fully-fledged hacking system, which will give anyone the ability to hack their own codes, and also support more code types and functions than any other cheat system.

So can you give an update on just exactly how far it has progressed so far and how much farther it still has to go?

I would like to help with any graphics needs you have. Check out some of my previous ps2 work samples here:

I also helped graphically re-design the site over at ps2-scene.
