ps2dragon; that logo is rather attractive. ;D

In regards to a "rewards" system, I might suggest collaborative bounties. The bounty system works like this:
    1) A (non-exhaustive) list of important (wanted) features/bug fixes/what have you are compiled.
    2) Project drivers decide what each of these might be worth. (E.G. "'Implement Python scripting' is worth $500USD")
    3) Money is raised through donations.
    4) Items are completed to satisfaction by volunteers.
    5) ???
    6) PROFIT!

That's a pretty good idea. BountySource would be a good, neutral way of keeping track of the funds, too.

Bleh, this thread got way off track, heh. I shall have to perform another condensation of the various topics of Artemis a little later.

Anyway, as Artemis is in need of an official logo, and I believe ps2dragon's has been the best so far, it is hereby (tentatively) the official Artemis logo

Any other logos submitted will be considered as well, and I will likely implement a "theme" system, whereby any set of graphics can be substituted for the default one, at a later date.

I don't think themes are a good idea. Since Artemis will be made resident, memory footprint should be kept at the minimum, otherwise game compatibility will suffer.

There will be two ELFs: one for boot, the other will be launched and stay resident. Hence, the boot ELF can be as large as desired, with no issues.

Actually, there are three ELFs (or at least three files with executable code):
                - cheat engine
                - debugger
                - boot loader

Inside the loader, the user decides whether to set up the engine and the debugger. So it is, for example, possible to use Artemis as a cheat device only.

Ok, here's another revsion of the same logo. Let me know what you think.

It's nice, but I prefer the original, actually.

ok, well whatever you guys want, I guess simplicity wins in this case. Let me know if you need anything else or want me to modify/change anything.

OK; and thanks very much for the contribution.

Note that it's entirely possible that there's an even better version of the logo hidden in the depths of your mind; the original is just the best-suited thus far

Hmm...since I didn't mention it in this thread, and as I haven't made a condensation thread yet (and thus this may be the thread of interest in Artemis at the moment), I should note that we now have a BountySource project, at http://artemis.bountysource.com/ . Sign up, and feel free to donate to any of the tasks (I'll be doing so next paycheck, though it might only be a little). Once we have a few decent bounties, and have an acceptable project put together there, I'll unveil it at PS2Dev.org, and likely pull some more developer assistance

How's the status of the remode debugger?
Will it be suited to debug ps2sdk projects?
