So can you give an update on just exactly how far it has progressed so far and how much farther it still has to go?
Yes, though I'll wait until I have word on a few specifics to give a proper update and status. As of now, we essentially have a fully-functional cheat system (such as any of the other cheat systems), and a partially functional core that can do some I/O, but not the I/O we're striving for. misfire is working on network I/O (for remote debugger functionality), and Pyriel has done some tinkering with USB (mass) I/O, but ended up being devoured by his other projects, and is fairly well setting that aside for the moment. I may have to dive into it myself (unless someone else has some experience with USB I/O on PS2?). I'm working on a skeleton PS2-side GUI, which will later be integrated with the current Artemis core, and CodeMajic.

I would like to help with any graphics needs you have. Check out some of my previous ps2 work samples here:

    * uLaunchELF Skin (Titled: Classic Skin)
    * CrystalChips BootManager Skin (Titled: CrystalPS2)
    * HDLoader Skin (Titled: ps2core)

I also helped graphically re-design the site over at ps2-scene.
Great. We've greatly needed a graphic designer. We shall have to toss some ideas around soon. Thanks for joining the team, and welcome aboard

Yes I do have some. What seems to be the problem?

Latest gsKit (ragnarok patches were submitted) adds true low resolution screen modes (Yey!) so why not use them if minimal memory usage is a must? Also, some better support for fonts was added.

Great, well just send me a PM on this site if I'm not here checking the forums, as I set it to send me an email. Looking forward to helping out on this. : )

In general, we'll require a way of sending chunks of memory from EE to IOP, and from there, to wherever we're going (mass, mc, host, etc). Even performing this feat with a small, homebrew app, before attempting it on an actual game, would be of immense use to the project. misfire briefly mentioned some ideas of his here: http://gshi.org/vb/showthread.php?t=3199&page=2

Oh yes, I've already started poking around in that update

Awesome; if either of you are up to it, feel free to create a logo for the Artemis boot screen. Try to include GSHI.org somewhere in the image.

Oh, no problem. Sounds good (especially since we have no idea what the logo SHOULD be, so just about anything that looks good and is original will be great, heh).

I created my own version of a possible logo as well. I decided to go with a design that reflected the meaning of the word Artemis from Greek mythology "She was the Hellenic goddess of forests and hills, virginity/fertility, and the hunt and was often depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows." - source wikipedia

This is just a sample, so I'll upload another version after I have spent some more time on it.

I really like yours dragon. Think it looks more professional. Can't wait to see finished work.

TomTuff: That's pretty good. It would probably benefit from a black background, and .org at the end of GSHI.

                          ps2dragon: Nice! But, it's GSHI.org

added black and gshi.org. one has a glow around the edges of smaller points so that black doesnt make half of them invisible, other one doesnt, but it kind of looks cool :O

Ah; I like the second one. I also like ps2dragon's.

I think I'll be implementing themes for Artemis, which would allow the user to choose a set of graphics (boot screen, colors, borders, fonts, etc), and this would allow Artemis to have multiple logos.
