I just purchased a Gateway 3DS cart, and it should arrive sometime early next week. Soon, I will become the next 3DS hacker! Yet another console/handheld will bow to me as its new Emperor!

UPDATE: Also, as a side note, discovered that my laptop can easily handle emulating PSP games! I just tried PPSSPP for the first time (and the 64-bit version, mind you), and it runs at FULL SPEED.

It's a shame that I couldn't get WWE 2K15 to do likewise for me, but I guess playing PSP games on my laptop isn't too bad of a booby prize, eh?

    What's next...GameCube? Wii? PS2? Only time will tell...heh heh.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Scratch GameCube and Wii off that list--got WWE '13 to work (after a TON of tweaking ), so 'Cube games shouldn't be too much trouble for this laptop...it is totally BEAST! LOL

YET ANOTHER UPDATE: Giving up the "Wii dream", because it does tend to tax my laptop when playing WWE '13 during tag-team matches (haven't tried to reduce my laptop's resolution yet, though). However, there's still good news: my Gateway cart arrives TODAY, in less than an hour. I know this, because of two things: the tracking info listed that my "updated delivery day" was today, and I already saw the mail carrier truck on the street over from mine, so it's bound to arrive any time now! w00t!

      New Gateway firmware released! (3.4)

A new firmware has just been released for Gateway users. Version 3.4 is said to address a new anti-piracy check that had been previously overlooked, but only took about "five minutes" (according to Gateway's official website) to fix/patch. Also of note, Gateway has announced that they are going to try to add CHEAT SUPPORT to their firmware as early as their NEXT update! In other words, no more having to utilize the often cumbersome Spider program to create and patch cheat codes onto 3DS games. Not sure if cheat support is also going to extend to eShop games (like Pokemon Rumble World). If so, maybe it will become possible to actually HACK such games on the fly (as in, WHILE you're playing them), thus greatly expanding the number of codes that are going to flood this site!

Found another cool gem: if you can somehow manage to convert your Sm4sh rom into .cia format, you can then proceed to decrypt your Sm4sh save, and there is a large number of things you can do, using an awesome Java-based editor (which can be found at GBAtemp): unlock all characters, edit characters' equipment and badge effects (including giving you +999 in any or all of the three stats), as well as maxing out your coin counter, and even unlock every single trophy in the game! No more having to waste hours farming for substandard badges, when this cuts straight to the chase, and give you godlike power to completely destroy the AI on 9.0 difficulty in Classic and All-star (hard) modes!

UPDATE: I finally found out how to get the save editor to work, and I unlocked all the characters, and I can tell you that giving them +999 in every stat makes them EXTREMELY difficult for the AI to defeat, even on 9.0 difficulty. The main problem I had was with Mewtwo's overall "floaty" feel (due to his immense psychic powers).

Here's the badge setup I used: Brawn, Agility, Protection; each giving +999 in all three stats, plus the vampire, quick-smash and hyper-smash abilities.

Came pretty close to actually completing Classic mode on 9.0 difficulty the FIRST time through (although I got my head handed to me by Master Core's third form). All in all, it was a success, in my opinion.

          Second "Alcatraz" move discovered!

I've known for about 3 years that placing the Tiger Bomb 1 pin combo in a grappled-strike slot (via hex editing) gives it a unique (and easily abused) new ability, which I call "Alcatraz", because there's NO kicking out of an Alcatraz pin combo (the kick-out animation may have been disabled for some reason).

The other side of the coin: if the AI Alcatrazes you...you lose, because YOU can't kick out of an Alcatraz pin combo, either!

Well, I discovered a second Alcatraz move entirely by accident: Northern Lights Suplex 2 does the same thing as Tiger Bomb 1 if placed in a grappled-strike slot.

Also note that you will NOT get the Alcatraz effect if you place either of these moves in a struggle-submission slot.

How to build an invincible Pokemon in Rumble World

            You will need:

            1. Modded 3ds
            2. Gateway cart
            3. A copy of Pokemon Rumble World (preferably version 1.1, so you can get the Lucky Balloon)
            4. Scires' save editing tool
            5. Savedatafiler

Start your game, save, then exit and use Savedatafiler to decrypt the save. Use Scires' editor to max out your rank at 254, and it's recommended to max out your diamonds and coins, as well (999,999 diamonds, 999,999,999 coins). Reinsert this edited data into your save, then start Rumble World again. Buy all of the balloons and extras.

Choose any balloon (they'll all be available), and capture at least one Pokemon (the higher the power level, the better). Once done, save and quit.

Go back to Savedatafiler and once again decrypt and extract the savedata.

Go back to Scires' tool and edit your chosen Pokemon (preferably the one with the highest power level).

Change that Pokemon to the grass-type of your choice (I'd recommend Mega Sceptile or Mega Venusaur), and set its moves to Leech Seed and Enemy capture ball. The first one is for dealing with any Pokemon using Bide or any other retaliatory effect, because Leech Seed does NOT deal damage, but directly drains the affected Pokemon's HP, and adds one-eighth of the damage dealt (rounded down) to your HP. The second one is for automatically capturing most Pokemon^.

Give your edited Pokemon the Epic trait, which gives you access to six subtraits. These subtraits can be anything you want, but I recommend the following set: Resilient++, Grass Boost++, Small++*, Steady++, Heroic++ and Brawny++.

*The "Small" subtrait not only makes your toy Pokemon smaller, but it adds Speedy, Techie and Gutsy subtraits, as well (each given the same number of + as Small). Also, the Epic trait carries the Lucky subtrait by default (equal to the number of + attached to the Epic trait, although those + won't show up next to the Epic trait).

^You can even use Enemy Capture Ball to capture Pokemon during challenges and battle royals, but NOT challenge-battle or battle-royal bosses. It also helps speed things up when trying to wade through a mob of Pokemon, although you'll get toy drops, instead of clocks.

One final note: Leech Seed is a relatively slow move (the move itself is pretty fast, but its effect takes a bit of time to finish), so be VERY careful when deciding when to use this new "invincible" Pokemon--you can still lose at a challenge or battle royal if the time runs out!

I purchased a Vita last week, and now have three games for it: MLB '14: The Show, LEGO Jurassic World, and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. That last game is an absolute mountain of AWESOMESAUCE! Dragon Ball Z is one of my favorite animes, and to have a detailed romp through the original DBZ sagas is a trip down memory lane (I watched Dragon Ball Z all the time when we still had access to Cartoon Network).

I've heard that even 3.52 firmware is hackable...to a certain extent. I would love to be able to play my modded SvR '11 iso on my Vita (better graphics, and to get rid of those annoying PSP 3000 scanlines), but don't know if there's even a way to play PSP isos on a Vita with 3.52 firmware. I do know you can do so using PSP isos purchased from the Playstation Network.

"His power level is over SEVEN DIGITS!!!!"

Here's how to create the ULTIMATE "Galactus joined your team!" Pokemon in Rumble World:

                1. Set your rank to 82 using Scires' save editor.
                2. Capture some Pokemon in the balloon level of your choice. You will notice that some will have seven-figure power levels.
                3. Change one of those Pokemon into an Epic Mega Rayquaza.
                4. Give your new beast the following subtraits: Small, Heroic, Brawny, Dragon Boost, Steady and Resilient (all ++).
                5. Give it the following moves: Judgment (Dragon) and Enemy capture ball (a debug move, useful for quickly expanding your collection).

This "eldritch abomination" will floor all enemy Pokemon (including bosses) with single-hit, 999,999-damage "deathblows". Any Pokemon using Reprisal will also do 999,999 damage to it...but will NOT kill it in one hit! This is due to it having over TEN MILLION HP. Good luck trying to kill this thing...heh heh.

Sad to say I had to sell my 3DS and Vita to help shore up my checking account after purchasing the laptop I am typing this post on. It cost me exactly 150 dollars, so I needed to sell the two handhelds to avoid running out of money before my next paycheck.

However...I can still play Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, so no Vita needed...and besides--the Vita never got Goro, Kintaro, Shao Kahn, all the Klassic characters (NPCs), Kenshi, Rain, Skarlet, Chameleon and Khameleon as playable characters...so it's all good!

I am Toshiba Kahn...BOW TO ME! LOL

I just happened to get one of the best laptop deals EVER...I found a Toshiba Satellite L745-S4310 for only 200 dollars. To get it, I traded in the laptop I had originally bought to replace the one which I dropped at work (thereby killing it...), and paid an additional 50 bucks.

This thing ran Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition on maximum settings (including 16x anti-aliasing!) at full speed. Of course, it ran the laptop pretty hot, so I pulled back on the settings (setting them back to their minimums to allow for cool-down).

Phase 2: downloading and actually PLAYING WWE 2K15. I had purchased and downloaded it via Steam about a month ago, and couldn't even get past the title screen, due to my previous laptop's much slower processor and weaker video card (it only had a 1.5 GHz dual-core, as opposed to my present laptop's 2.2 GHz dual-core).

The Windows Experience Indicator (or whatever the hell it's called...) showed that this thing had a MINIMUM score of 5.5 on a 7.9 scale (the 5.5 coming from the relatively "slow" hard drive transfer rate). Its two highest scores: gaming graphics (6.2) and memory transfer rate (a whopping 7.3).

Expect to see me post some crazy info about weird and funny ref bumps and bloody table matches in the near future!

Oh, and Toshiba Kahn has laid claim on everyone's soul...you have been warned.

                    LOL

UPDATE: Just discovered, much to my surprise, that my new laptop actually has a QUAD-core processor, not "just" dual-core. That explains how it can play Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition with all the "eye candy" tweaked to maximum settings at nearly full speed.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Turns out that despite how powerful my new laptop is, it STILL can't play WWE 2K15, because 2K dropped the ball, and ported over the PS4/XBox One version to PC instead of the easier to emulate PS3/XBox 360 version. Smooth move, Ex-Lax.

UPDATE, ROUND 3: I just discovered that my laptop is actually BEYOND quad-core...it has FOUR Intel i3-2330M dual-core processors, making this thing an EIGHT-core monstrosity! It eats Mortal Kombat for breakfast, and I just figured out a way to run WWE 2K15 (albeit VERY slowly...have to do a little more research on how to get "low-spec" settings to work on it). If 2K had coded their game as well as Mortal Kombat was, I'd be whupping some major ass as Undertaker against Brock Lesnar in Hell in a Cell right now (paying homage to their upcoming match at the HIAC pay-per-view).

                    • Turns out that Windows has a rather annoying habit of listing individual core threads as separate "processors", which led me to believe that my previous laptop was a "quadruple dual-core" laptop. It wasn't. It simply had a single dual-core processor, each core possessing two threads, which created the odd effect of making my laptop appear to have four times the processors it actually had.

I then turned around and traded that laptop in for my current one, which has a dual-core, 2.53-GHz processor. Not too sure about its gaming capabilities, though. Not too sure if I even want to test it, considering it has a slightly gimped fan (one of the blades broke off, making my entire laptop vibrate when it gets too hot...).

I might consider trying to play PSP games (such as SvR '11) on it, though. That shouldn't tax it too much, even if I speedhack the emulator to run at twice its normal speed (it's hilarious to play SvR '11 at double speed--it's like the wrestlers are on crack or something...).

You might be seeing some weird new codes in the near future as I poke around some PSP games using PPSSPP and Cheat Engine 6.4...

                        • Seeing as how my thread has degraded (again) to "blog" status, here's some game-related info regarding SvR '11:

The height/length of each body part is listed in the following order: neck, chest, bust (for divas), abdomen, waist, arms, legs and feet. Then comes the width, then the depth. Each and every body part has all three dimensions, including the waist. The third waist dimension address (supposedly for length) is at 0x006DA6FE, and is sandwiched in between the abdomen- and arm-length addresses. I'm honestly not sure exactly what effect changing the value of this address has on the appearance (height) of CAWs. Would love to get a more technical-minded person to examine this code on their own copy of this game.

                          • Yoshi's Strange Quest (Homebrew) CWCheat codes

This game is one of the best Super Mario World mods I have ever seen (and played ). It is also quite possibly the mod which diverts the most from the original game's play style. It plays more like Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (flutter jumps, ground pounds, egg laying and throwing...but no screaming babies to worry about), and is full of fourth-wall gags and funny visual puns throughout.

This game is so innovative, that some of the levels even change the control scheme (usually just flipping left and right), while others really make you think outside the box (the four Switch Palaces come to mind).

Anyway, here are the cheat codes I found for this awesome game:

                            Infinite HP:

                            0x009495FA 0x0000001E

                            Infinite Eggs:

                            0x009447C5 0x00000006

Stop Timer (most levels don't use the timer, but this is for those which do):

                            0x0096C868 0x000000AD

Please note that you will need TempAR 1.63 beta version to use these codes on SNES9xTYL (PSP SNES emulator).

                            • Reset Pinfall/Ring-out Counts (SvR '11 PSP)

Credit for original code goes to Demon God of Code-x.ws.

                              I applied the button activator.

                              0xD0000002 0x10008000
                              0x604F234C 0x00000000
                              0x00020001 0x00000064
                              0x10000068 0x00000000

With this code, you can easily let one of the AI's skeletons out of its closet: it will constantly try to reverse your (reversed reversal of a reversed, etc.) leverage pin, because it seems to bear an instant grudge against you if you reverse their leverage pin. One time I counted FIFTEEN such reversals in a row, before the AI had the audacity to KICK OUT at 2, rather than simply take the 3 count. That's how hard the AI tries to keep you from winning.

Another time, I counted THIRTY such transitions, before the game actually froze. Once again, it was as if the AI were saying "if you won't let me not let you win, then I won't even let you play!"

I'm about to test this code out against Dolph Ziggler. Here's to seeing if I can break that 30-reversal record...

                              • AI Rage Quits? Do They Actually Happen?

I've noticed that a vast majority of the game-freeze issues I've encountered in Smackdown 2011 happen during the course of a match, and usually involve what appears to be a failed attempt to load a run-in scenario. Most of these game freezes are immediately preceded by about 3 seconds of the memory stick light flashing at about four flashes per second (a slower rate than normal). This might indicate that the PSP's CPU is being strained by too much action occurring on-screen at the same time as a run-in is being loaded. This NEVER happens when I'm playing SvR '11 on a PC-based PSP emulator (such as PPSSPP), even if I speed-hack the emulator to run at double speed, courtesy of Cheat Engine's speed-hack feature.

Could this just be an innocent glitch involving a failed run-in attempt, or is it something more insidious, such as the AI actually causing the game to freeze because it cannot secure an "unfair" victory (which was ostensibly set up by swerving me either pre-match or during the match...or BOTH)?

Hence the title of this message--AI Rage Quits...Do They Actually Happen?

What are your thoughts on this issue?
