At first, I was hesitant to even try the following emulator since it is written in Java, but I decided to give it a whirl and it's not too shaby. The emulator's GUI of a mock console is kind of cool. Check out this Atari 2600 emulator:

Oh I forgot to add... one of the nice features of JavAtari is that it is the only Atari 2600 emulator that has a FAST FORWARD feature... and you can map it to your controller. (Stella and z26 don't have a FAST FORWARD feature.) I hope that Stella adds that feature some day.

It's fine to use. Don't worry, it won't melt your computer. (I'd use another word, but I don't want to be put on a watch list, heh)

Keep it and use it until the next release.

Does anyone use Gens32 Surreal? Probably not, but If so, I've got an updated release that is 4 years newer than the featured release that's available on the official homepage ( http://gens32.emubase.de/ .) This updated release scarcely exists on the internet... fortunately, one place it does exist is in an underground command post, deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker, under the brick & steel of a nondescript building.

                  The updated release is called:

                  Gens32 Surreal v1.88 Gailiable

If anyone cares that actually uses this emulator, I'll be uploading the new release late tonight when I return home.
