    Sorry, I don't even know what you're referring to. :? These are the first Genesis Game Genie codes I've made.

    The pages still aren't correct yet. "AAPT-CAB8" on the Sonic & Knuckles page should say "Don't use up rings to maintain the transformation of any Super/Hyper character", not just "Don't use up rings to maintain the transformation of any Super Character". "NTPT-CA50" still hasn't been removed from the Sonic 3 & Knuckles page. And none of the codes should have the description of "This code has the side effect of norma|izing the behavior of the previous one: when you co||ect rings they are counted as norma|, regard|ess of whether you transform with 0 or with 1+" anymore, since that only applied when I was using the extra 0-ring enabling code.

    I've been trying to make code(s) so that you can play as a Super/Hyper and still have it use the original music of the level instead of that repeating Super music, but the closest I came also made it so you weren't invincible anymore. It seems that the Super invincibility is somehow tied into that music, but that can't be strictly true since the music still changes when you reach a boss and once the boss is defeated.

    Speaking of which, in the course of trying that I discovered a combo of codes that actually let you remain Super in Sonic 2 once you reach the end of the act and normally change back, but I don't really think they're worth posting.

    Anyone have any ideas about getting the original music to play while still staying invincible, though?

      I'll make sure to change that later. By secret level, I meant the secret bonus level you can acces by using this code.

      Hidden Special Stage
      On the level select menu, play sounds 01, 03, 05, 07. Highlight Special Stage 2 and press A + Start.

      When you collect all the balls you get a Golden Emerald. It's use is unknown. You can't access this level during normal gameplay. But perhaps if we could mod our special stage to lead to that level then we may find if it has a use.

      I imagine you could put any music you want anywhere with some of the addresses provided. I was plannning to try and use it to make some codes but never got around to it.

        I did the code and played the stage and I actually got a grey emerald instead of gold. It didn't show up on the "Sonic got a Chaos Emerald" screen, and all the scores on that screen were 0. Weird...

        Thanks for the link. I managed to make S2 and S2&K codes, but the music format is different in S3/S&K and I don't understand how to find the right address.

          Sweet, well. I've corrected the code issues and also posted the Sonic Music mods on the site. I too found the Sonic 3 Super Sonic music annoying. Being you can save and have Super Sonic on level one it can get really annoying if you play thru the entire game. Someone ought to import the Sonic 2 music to Sonic 3. I know Tweaker can do stuff like that. He ported Sonic 3d music to Sonic 3.

                    I think I finally figured out the info on that Sonic music hacking site, but unfortunately S&K/S3&K doesn't seem to work the same as S2/S2&K. For those codes I just set the Super Sonic/Knuckles music address to 0000 and the game automatically restarts the normal level music when you go Super instead of trying to play the 0'd out music. But doing the same thing with S&K/S3&K just makes it stop all music as soon as you go Super/Hyper (the boss music still plays once you reach it though). :?

                    I dunno, maybe I'm just still not doing it right, but I can't think of what I could be doing wrong.
