Why are PC Engine codes now being added specifying that they are for Magic Engine? As far as I know those codes work with any other emu that accepts PAR codes.
Also, why are colons being added to the codes again? For example, this last contribution: http://gamehacking.org/?s=v2&sys=51&gid=8313

This is an addendum to the [SNES] Populous (U) code I made.
1- Add this code (7E009800) next to mine. This makes it so you don't have to turn on/off my code all the time.
2- Remove the note from the code, since it is not necessary anymore.
3- Add Kung Fu Furby to the credits, since he made the code, we should share the credit.Last edited by ReyVGM; 08-08-2012, 10:36:26 AM.

What Beta version is he using? My copy goes to a black screen and nothing happened after 20 - 40 seconds.Originally posted by ReyVGM View PostThese codes were personally given to me by Kung Fu Furby. He gave me permission to post them here and credit should be given to him.

From what I've noticed, most people are using the last official release of VBA, which is Visual Boy Advance 1.8 (Beta 3). IIRC, you are using the last official stable version of VBA, which is Visual Boy Advance 1.7.2. You've been encountering problems with getting the codes to work in that version. So it appears that some codes are not compatible between versions. If that is the case, then I suggest a note be included with the codes identifying which emulator it was made on.Originally posted by Rune View PostWhat Beta version is he using? I haven't tested those GB codes again with the older emulator, but I suspect that the Steven Seagal code that KFK posted was made on a different ROM than I was using. I was testing the code on SNES 9x-1.53-x64 but it may need ZSNES like Madden NFL '96 did.Originally posted by OldSchoolGamer View PostFrom what I've noticed, most people are using the last official release of VBA, which is Visual Boy Advance 1.8 (Beta 3). These should have been converted before posting. I was nice enough to do it this time to get them added. In the future please convert ROM codes before posting them (your own or any other code that you post) if you expect them to get added.Originally posted by ReyVGM View PostThese codes were personally given to me by Kung Fu Furby. Not quite sure I follow. The code you listed was the original code in the database already here, and also the same as listed in the original post:Originally posted by ReyVGM View PostThis is an addendum to the [SNES] Populous (U) code I made.

I am waiting on the other modifications you requested due to the first one not being possible. Let me know when you have things sorted out.Originally posted by ReyVGM View Post[Super NES] Populous

Converted? I don't understand. I posted PAR codes just like I've always done, why do I need to convert them to Game Genie? I see that they start with an "80", is that what you mean?Originally posted by Abystus View PostThese should have been converted before posting.
