    ***EDITED***

After looking through the codes the only one that isn't on it is the S-Rating on Cyber Peacock Satge code.

I've added it to the database.

I also merged the Mega Man X4 codes from the BS Free page too.

Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

You don't have to do this anymore. On the new site, all of the bsfree codes for every system are already merged.

Any expected date of release for the new site? Just wondering as it's been the talk of the town for a while now .

Any launch dates, whether beta or what-not, have not been decided since there is still a lot to do. I pretty much started from scratch with everything, and have been working hard to make the new site not only look better, but be more helpful when browsing cheats. One of the features that has taken so much time, is that code converting, encryption, and decryption will be automatic for all systems. For example, when somebody adds a ARv3 code in the gba section, it will automatically decrypt and correctly convert for other devices. I am almost done with this feature.

Emulator cheat file export, rebuilding the chronicler/administration functions, and straightening up the existing codes (fixing mistakes, ridding of duplicates, and so on) also still needs work. After all of this is finished, there will probably be a beta test and a bug bash before a public launch is scheduled.

It may sound like it will still be awhile, but rest assured it is not a lost cause and is still in the works...

These are all so old that the original hacker hasn't been seen since 1996~1998.

Yeah, that's probably true as far as I know. However when was the last time Capcom pushed an update patch for this game?

In regards to the new site, what will be done with a situation like this:

                    http://gamehacking.org/?s=v2&m=h&sys=5&hid=158

Strato is credited for a rediculous 6,143 codes that he made just for one game, Dragon Warriors IV. But most of them are item modifiers and codes of that nature. And instead of just posting an item modifier code with a "key", he wrote out the code for each item. A situation like this falsely represents the number of codes made by that hacker, game, console, and website. It also clogs up the database which can create an annoyance to a reader who has to scan through all those codes to find the code that he desires. It also credits the creator with more codes that he really should be credited for. Also, a person who doesn't realize what happened regarding that situation, and sees that link posted above would think that Strato has created the most NES codes posted on this site. But in reality, it is ReyVGM who has made the most NES codes, (and for that matter, the most game pictures as well.)

I've noticed the same thing, just changing the value on a code should not necessarily make it a new code unless the results are quite different. In my opinion a Modifier code is much cooler, too. Who wants to copy the same address over and over again?

                          • All of the modifier codes will be merged into one code, and the hacker will be given credit for the one code.
                          • If two or more codes for a game modify the same address, it will be merged into one code. If they are done by separate hackers, they will each be given credit.
                          • Whatever I can't merge with a script will need to be done manually.

Glad to hear we all agree on that. Also, I'm curious what will happen with different codes that have the same effect? Ya know how in some games there are a couple "Invincibility" or "Infinite Energy" codes. The actual code is totally different from one another but their effect is the same. So it would be nice if somehow these codes were grouped together. Instead of having an "Invincibility" code at the top of the page along with an "Invincibility" code in the middle of the page, it would be nice if these codes were grouped together under the same description. Also, it would be nice if the most important/main codes be at the top of the page. Important/main codes such as "Infinite Lives", "Infinite Energy/Health", "Invincibility", and "Infinite Ammo". Those four types of codes are probably the most utilized codes by gamers, so therefore it would make sense to keep those codes at the top of the page. I don't know how you are setting up each's game's codes, but it's just a suggestion. I'm sure whatever you've decided or will decide will turn out good.
