The problem is, the code don't work as a GameShark code, only Cheat Engine seems to make the value stick.

(The value stays 0 until you pick up bullets, it then becomes 16 [10 in hex])
I've been hacking beta 2 with cheat engine too with epsxe v1.7,
I noticed that Background Image and location ID stay the same all the way up the RPD but when you enter the RPD it changes
Here's my cheat tables for Biohazard 2 - Beta 2 and Resident Evil 4 (PC).

I downloaded your cheat table, but the address are off since I'm using pSX.

I can't tell you the code for cheat engine at the moment, I'm at work right now.
I don't think it's out of the GSP's range, since I was able to find the code.

In the GSP, the code on the right side of the possibilities window shows the value I changed it to, but the code on the left side shows a different value.

Here's a new cheat table, I redid it with the pSX you linked, I also added a few other codes.
I found the address that enables you to access the debug menu if you set it to 00 it stops you from being able to access it, it also pauses the game.
I couldn't find anything else to unlock the other options though
Room Warp is kinda too it stores the room ID for every stage say if you set it to 11D then change it to 702 it'll store both 1D and 02 when you jump to either 1XX or 7XX.
With Cheat Engine is there anyway to get it to keep the description width the same every time you open it? I have to readjust it every time to see my full descriptions

Cool, I'll check it out when I get home from work. I'll merge your table with mine and see what we can hack.

I found a (useless) code to remove the black background of the debug menu.

I'm not sure about the width of CE, I know the height stays like you had it before closeing it out.

P.S. If you are using the same pSX I use, it's best to keep it on the desktop.
That way when you click on 'Insert CD Image' and then click the desktop browse button, you see the virtual folders 'cdimages' 'cards' etc.

Hidden included apps, click images to see it bigger.

            Edit:
Seems our codes are off by a bit.
My 'Debug Selector' Cheat Engine address:
            024AA849
Your 'Debug Menu: Selected Menu Item' address:
            0268A849

Here's my cheat table merged with yours, but I had to modify your address to get them to work for me.

I use an emulator mostly because of save states to quickly be able to change values to search for codes.
When I learn the proper values to search for, that's when I'll load up the real PlayStation and find the GameShark code.

So here's some GameShark codes instead.

I'm sure these codes could be converted to one single code per entry or whatever, but I'm still learning.
Didn't really read the 'Secrets Of Professional Gameshark Hacking' yet, I like figuring stuff out on my own usually.

on an actual GSPro Hardware you would have to make the codes as follows to make em work.

                Thank you.
I tried 800105e8 xxzz, but didn't think about switching to zzxx.

Just tried it and they indeed work as one line.

                Edit:
So maybe now someone can find the other correct values to access the locked out areas of the debug menu.

If you are using cheat engine, you might be able to easily find out what modifies the address and delete the line of PS1 code. That way the code that reads it and interprets it can work, but the code that changes it is gone, so it would work.
PS2 cheat devices can modify a game's ASM code, PS1 cheat devices can probably do it too.

Just get a save state before you pick up an item and have the address that changes. With cheat engine, do that thing where you right click it and click find out what writes to this address. Go in the game, pick up an item, and go back to cheat engine. It will give you some addresses. Changing one of those lines to nothing should fix your problem, and then you can add that code to your gameshark and it should work.

This menu is known about in the PAL region of the game, and is enabled by a button sequence.

Here is a GameShark / ActionReplay / CodeBreaker code to enable the options for the USA release.

you didnt check on real Gameshark did you?

                                your code 80014519 0001 should be 30014519 0001 or 80014518 0100.

if you try put 80014519 0001 on GS will run the code as 80014518 0001.

basic rules for code hack address' for PS1, PS2, PSP, GC, Wii, GBA & DS, any address ends odd hex numbers always 1-byte (00), NEVER 2-byte(0000) or 4-byte (00000000).

also on real cheat device for PS1, PS2, PSP, GC, Wii, GBA & DS codes uses codetypes
                                ??aaaaaa vvvv
                                ?? = codetypes (http://www.gshi.org/wiki/Code_Types_(Playstation))
                                aa = address
                                vv = value

                                ?? = 30 = 1-byte
                                ?? = 80 = 2-byte (even hex numbers address' only 0,2,4,6,8,a,c,e)
