    Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine

    9WDA-BCLR +
    ALDA-AACT +
    LWDA-AB4W
In scenario mode, the computer players will constantly have 2 clear/refugee beans
dropped on them every few seconds (in addition to the clear/refugee beans you
normally drop on them). This makes the game easier to beat.

    9WDA-BCLR +

In scenario mode, the computer players will constantly have 4 clear/refugee beans
dropped on them every few seconds (in addition to the clear/refugee beans you
normally drop on them). This makes the game MUCH easier to beat.

    ==================================

As mentioned earlier, these codes can be modified to any number of refugee beans, but you'll find that any number over 5 refugee beans makes the game too easy.

Also, the codes in this post can be used together with the codes I posted a couple days ago (they use different ROM addresses).

I tested all the Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine codes Tony, though I might add that refugee beans still occasionally drop on player 1's screen.

Something else I was going to point out, Ugetab, if you come across this topic, I noticed a problem with a code of yours for Mega Man: The Wily Wars, namely the Invincible Against Enemies code (J4CT-AA3E), you can still take damage in the battle against the Mega Man clone in Mega Man 1, and if your health runs out, oddly enough, he won't die, but he won't be able to use any of his weapons, either.

Edit: Tony, just wondering, but would you have time soon to make the Sonic 2/Knuckles in Sonic 2 codes I was looking for, please? I believe they are on the previous page.

Knight of Time, are you using an emulator, or a real Genesis/Game Genie?

I'm using an emulator, namely Gens Plus. I do have a Genesis and a Game Genie, but I haven't used them in a long time, due to the fact they're getting a bit old.

Knight of Time, I'll start working on your codes shortly.

Whipon, no luck on your Sonic 3 w/Knuckles music code. I did find the other similar code you mentioned... it's for Sonic 2: ADFT-8AF6 (There's also one for Sonic 2 + Knuckles). Someone named ChiDragon made those codes.

Here's a link to a page with a ton of RAM addresses...

Maybe you can find some music info there.

Try these out and let me know if you have any problems with 'em...

              -Sonic the Hedgehog 2

              ATBT-AA4E
Master code (emulators only). If you get a red screen when you use
Game Genie codes, using this code will fix that.

              REHA-J6TA
              Infinite time.

              REHT-J6V0
              Infinite time in debugger.

              --------------------------------------------

-Sonic the Hedgehog 2 + Sonic & Knuckles

NOTE: These codes are for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 when it's locked on
              to Sonic & Knuckles.

              RGMD-G6WT
              Infinite time in debugger.

              SDSX-FTZW
Rings worth 4 in special stages. The extra rings don't show up on the
counter, but you do get them.

              SDSX-FAZW
Rings worth 8 in special stages. The extra rings don't show up on the
counter, but you do get them.

The only code I had a problem with was the Infinite Time in Debugger code for Knuckles in Sonic 2, it didn't work as I had hoped, but still, thanks for the codes.

                    No problem Whipon.

Knight of time, did the inf time code not work at all?

I have a question... about how much time do you normally get in the Sonic 2 +SK debugger? I sat there for several minutes and didn't receive any time out notice.

As far as I recall, the debugger system in Sonic 2/Knuckles in Sonic 2 is way different than in Sonic 1, in Sonic 1, if you have it on, you always get 50,000 points for clearing a stage, getting hit with no rings causes you to be knocked back instead of dying, and you can't revive yourself if you die in a Sonic 1 stage while the debugger is on.

So back to the Sonic 2/Knuckles in Sonic 2 part, as far as I know, the time still goes when you have the debugger on, whether or not you're actually in Debug mode (e.g. transformed into an object), that is, without the code on.

So I gave it a second test today, and I found it does work after all, but I think one of the other codes interfered with it when I tried them yesterday in the first test, because I only got 500 for the time bonus in Emerald Hill Zone Act 1. I guess some codes clash from time to time...'shrug'

Edit: Yeah, now that I think about it, you don't apparently get the 50,000 point bonus at the end of an act if you went to a Special Stage, even if you had the infinite time in debugger code on. Weird.

I guess I could possibly look into the code that makes Megaman get hit in the clone battle, but I'm not really in the mood to play up to that point just to fight with more assembly. If you feel like giving me a save-state to use, use Regen(in the downloads section), use F9 to save states to the Saves folder right before the fight. Zip it up and put it on the forums if you feel like chancing a code being made.
This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

Do you mind if I ask you what Genesis emulator you're using, Ugetab?

I can make a save-state of the battle with the Mega Man clone, from Gens Plus, since it's my emulator of choice for Genesis. But would I have to upload the zipped save-state to a website before linking to it here, or what? If so, that's no problem.

Edit: Tony, I just thought of another game I wish you could make me some codes for, please?

This time around I'm looking for some Columns 3 codes, can you make any of the following please:

-opponent cannot use Crush Bar (in player vs. cpu mode)
-using the crush bar adds 8 rows to opponent only (PXZA-BAWL does this effect, but it affects both players)
-player 1 only needs 3 Points to use Crush Bar

The Crush Bar is the thing you use to smash the opponent's current trio of falling jewels, thus raising their screen by at least one row of solid blocks.

                          Again, thanks in advance Tony.

Here's some new information/codes for the Thunder Force IV games (E) and (J) ...

In the GSHI code data base, there are regional bypass and master codes (Game Genie) that Pugsy made for the (J) version, and the same type for the (E) version that I made. These code do exactly what they're supposed to do, but if you start playing into the game for awhile, you'll encounter problems with the game freezing.

I've made new Game Genie codes to correct this problem. The "E" version codes were tested on an emulator, and the "J" version codes were tested on real hardware.

                            Thunder Force IV (E)

                            AKMT-AA6W +
                            AJTA-AA20
Use these 2 codes together with the "Region Lockout Bypass" and "Master" codes to prevent the game from freezing when you beat bosses or get 1-ups.

                            ===========================

                            Thunder Force IV (J)

                            AKTT-AA44 +
                            AJSA-AA6Y
Use these 2 codes together with the "Master Code" and the "Play Japan version on US Genesis" codes to prevent the game from freezing when you beat bosses or get 1-ups.

                            ===============================

Knight of Time, I'll check it out when I get some time.

Knight of Time, I've got some codes for you to try out.

As with the Dr. Robotnik codes, the CPU and player 1 use the same routine, so I had to use multiple codes to insert "new" code. This game didn't have any NOP's for me to use, so I decided to "borrow" some of the programming for the clock/timer. This of course kills the clock, but it doesn't seem to hurt anything.

One of the codes isn't exactly what you wanted, but I think you'll like it anyways. It adds 6 rows to the CPU ANYTIME you press the "C" button. You don't have to wait at all for your points to add up, just press the "C" button at any time and the CPU will get hit with 6 rows. Sweet.

Note that it's best if you don't use both codes at the same time (one of 'em kinda messes up the other one).

                              Columns 3

                              AAGT-AA88
Master Code (emulators only). Only use if you get a red screen.

                              9WSA-BGLL +
                              ACSA-AACN +
                              MLSA-BJCT
The computer player can't attack you with the crush bar, but you can still
attack him (1P Mode). This code also disables the clock. Do not use this
                              code with the code below.

                              9WSA-BGK2 +
                              MLSA-BAB8
You can ALWAYS attack the computer player with the crush bar and add 6 rows
to his side. By pressing the "C" button twice (2 attacks), you will
automatically win the match. This code also disables the clock. Do not use
this code with the code above.

                              =========================

Let me know how it works with you.

The codes all work, thanks Tony.

Edit: As it turns out with the second code, Tony, you only need to press the C button once (usually), and the CPU ends up having only one row of room.
