I just updated a misspelling of Mark Ortiz on several sets. If you intend to distribute them in any way, it would be good to update this bit, and update all the SGB SPC sets you're not yet into. This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

I figured out how to apply the SGB sound effects using just 1 SPC, and modifying that 1 SPC to play any effect I want. I'm in the process of converting all the SPCs I ripped to use this original SPC as a basis. It will prevent any SPCs from not hitting their first note.
I think I can skip the step where I load an SGB save-state now, and go right to using an ideally-setup SPC file instead. This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

Before I do that there is one last small thing. Can you dump the possibly test versions of each song that has one using 7E034304? I only ripped one. That is all and I will have the sets tagged and dumped ASAP.Last edited by nensondubois; 10-30-2008, 02:12:28 PM."Roll The Bones" - Rush

You mean those b0rked Animaniacs ones? I guess that wouldn't be much of a challenge with the changes I've just implemented.
All the SGB sets except the DK one have been changed. Byte 0100 in the file now controls the song selection. I'm going to setup even more crap for a weirdly completed Super Gameboy set, including SFX. I hope it'll be implemented in a GB emulator someday to just use this 1 SPC I plan to setup, and deal with songs on that basis. It would probably be able to deal with anything the games sent it's way sound-wise with a decent SPC core.Attached FilesThis reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

Hey Nenson, what are you going to do about your SGB database?
Are you going to make a website or are you going to keep it on the gscentral forum?
Let me tell you, in case you don't know, that the gscentral forums have disappeared 3 times already. Just so you know that you run the risk of losing all of your information if you don't put all that info on a website or something.

Here's something relavent to the topic and the discussion:
An SGB SPC Generator. Includes all the different options, with none of the enormous size it would otherwise take up.
Edit:
Added SGB2 supportThis reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.

Wow this is pretty cool. Support for the SGB2 credits song would be penultimate. What game did you get the list from? The doc you posted earlier? The Pitch settings do not work.

I did get this out of the program you made.

Pitch/Volume were because there's something like 5 spots where both are written at, and I forgot to do the effective one. Fixed it. I got the names from pandocs. Also, I made the program because there's an enormous number of possible tracks, all of which can be extracted from a single SPC file. 2 SPCs gives SGB1 and SGB2.This reality is mine. You could use a wiki style website (I don't know how to set one up though) or any kind of blog style website. I guess you could find them for free but I don't know where.
But it's definitely best if you don't keep it on a forum.

I don't have time to set anything up besides it's good at least for now. Are you a staff member at VGMuseum by any chance? Do you know about the title variations in A Bug's Life? It was my error that the Game Over song and Final score were different, THEY ARE NOT, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. I did say that within a week I would have the Pre-defined color list completed. This list is from my database. Also can you tell SNESmusic not to put up the sets until I'm finished tagging and timing them to necessary proportions. I'm almost done with them.

Just remove ".txt" making it "bgb.ini"Attached FilesLast edited by nensondubois; 10-30-2008, 08:31:28 PM."Roll The Bones" - Rush

Not really SPC related, but it is SGB related.
A color picker that can decode and encode SGB palette data to an easily used form, and should be a bit nicer than the internal one. Also allows you to export BGB.ini setup lines.
Edit:
Added "Super Game Boy Nintendo Strategy Guide" color codes (except those on 2 pages)Attached FilesThis reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.
