As I expected.....only way to get Invincibility for Gradius 2 was to change the game's program code - pain in the ar53 with the rudimentary debugger in yabause. I don't know if this will work on a REAL saturn, but it's worth a go...

3601EBCE 00E1 Invincibility - get at least one speed up or use the speed cheat I posted earlier with a value >0 for the invincibility to work

It has support for entering Action Replay codes (no cheat searching though), a rudementary debugger and a useful memory editor which helps when you need to work out the offset by editing the first location and searching for the changes with any windows process search util ( I used TSearch). The debugger has got watchpoints which helps for simple program code cheats...it's also got breakpoints but they don't appear to work unfortunately.

It seems I will have to take a look to that yabause.

Invincible code tested and working, though since you can't back out of either Gradius game to see if the stage select for Gradius 2 works (no menu to back out of the games) resetting won't do any good, argh.

So would a joker code solve the problem? He can hold the button till he beats the game, then he can allow his character to die so he'll return to the Title screen.

As far as I know the saturn only supports the 8bit and 16bit constant write codes and "IF" Code types, none of the fancy stuff that the PSX gamesharks had, which is so unfortunate.

The problem is not getting back to the individual game Title Screen...the problem is that once you've selected either Gradius 1 or Gradius 2 you are stuck with that game till you reboot as there's no way of stepping back to the game selection screen - the cheat would not effect that. And besides a joker code would not be needed as it would be a simple matter to make a Invincibility OFF cheat if that was all that's required.

And as helder says the Saturn PAR is very limited - but it's better than nothing.

Sorry to resurrect an old post from more than 10 years ago, but a code has been posted to enable invincibility for player 1 IN Sexy Parodius. The address is 60BDC1A for player 1's invincibility but I can't find the one for player 2. I can't hack it myself because Yabause, the only Saturn emulator with cheat search, doesn't have the required cheat searching functions to find it. I'm not proficient enough in C to mod the Yabause source to include stuff like "Unknown initial value", "increased value" and "decreased value" which would be needed to pull off this hack today.

Can anybody help me hack player 2's invincibility? I tried randomly setting addresses to 0020 in the same general area as 60BDC1A but it didn't work. I also tried adding E8 to 60BDC1A and setting the address of 60BDD02 to 20 simply because E8 is the difference between the player 1 infinite lives code and the player 2 infinite lives code, I also tried adding and subtracting the difference of the Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius player 1 and 2 invincibility codes and changing those addresses and none of that worked either. I know that was a crap shoot but it was worth a try.

                  Can anybody help?

Holy fucking shit guys. Through an immense amount of trial and error and an insane amount of luck, I found the address. Player 2's invincibility address is 060C091A. The Action Replay code to make player 2 invincible is 160C091A 0020. I tested it in Yabause and on real hardware (an NTSC Model 2 Saturn with modchip and Action Replay) and it works on both.
This would have been 255 times more impossible for me to find without Pugsy originally finding out that you had to set the value to 20. I literally found it by randomly picking ram addresses by hand and manually setting them to 20 until it worked. I know that it's 13 years later, but Pugsy, if you ever read this, I don't know how you did it but thanks man.
