  • [Request] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Enemy HP Value Modifier and Statuses.

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/zv...E01_DUMP80.bin
    http://ml.techyoshi.com/index.php/topic,149.60.html

I've looked all over in this file for the Enemy HP Values and the status effect resistance values for enemies, but so far, I haven't had the slightest bit of luck in doing so as opposed to JDaster from TechYoshi did. Seriously, I've looked all over for his findings in the DUMP80, and nothing. I've tried using BYTE, DWORD, and QWORD, and so far, my search has turned up fruitless, like looking for a needle in a haystack blindfolded. This is what I mean by a "status effect string"...

    Buzzy Beetle's:
    75 90 75 100 75 100 00 75 100 90 100 90 100 95 75 60 30 100 75 100 100 95
So, my question is: if anyone here is good enough with this sort of thing, can anyone tell me where the Status effect string for the Buzzy Beetle is in the DUMP? If necessary, I'll give the DUMP90 for the game. (The address should be like this: 0x00000000)

UPDATE: If it helps at all, there are only 100 (64 in hex) bytes in enemy data... yeah, in the STATUS EFFECTS. So, so much for that plan...

UPDATE #2: These are the Status effects in order: Sleep, Immobilized, Dizzy, Poisoned, Confused, Electrified, Dodgy, Burned, Frozen, Huge/Small, Power Up/Down, Defense Up/Down, Allergic, Charge, Fast, Slow, Fright, Gale Force, Payback, Payback II (Bobbery's version), Invisibility, HP Regen, FP Regen, Showstopper... That's up to 24 status effects.

If that download link contains part of the actual game, you'd best delete that.

Actually, this isn't a link to a ISO/ROM; this is a link to a RAM Dump of said ROM that I got from this: http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/94...sand-Year-Door

Hey, Lee, the most ironic thing about this situation is that I know where the addresses are in the RAM that tell the game for an item/badge move/attack to cause a status infliction and for how long, and yet I'm up a river without a paddle when it comes to this situation in finding the Enemy HP values in the RAM.

I'll prove it to you; you want a Mushroom that gives the Payback or Fast Status? What about both? Well, here you go. Warning: I do not know how to port codes from NTSC-U to PAL, so those who want this for PAL, can't really help you there.

This is the location of Mushroom's script. If you fail to change this, or other items that have this, then status effects are out of the question: 003655F8. This is the location of the Payback status for Mushroom: 003655EE and this is where the Fast trigger is located: 003655E8... now, let's make this into code format...

          Fast Revenge Shroom (3 Turns):
          043655F8 8036ACFC
          023655E8 00006403
          003655EE 00000003

          Fast Revenge Shroom (3 Turns):
          24DK-RW6T-22041

Well, the story's still the same thing from two days ago: I STILL don't know where the HP value of enemies are, and I still don't know where the status effect string is. That's why I earnestly request the help of anyone who knows where this data is. I've tried getting in contact with the man who found this data himself, but it's been Monday ever since, and he hasn't bothered to reply to me back... I'm still waiting, to be honest.

I'll take a look at it when I get home from work in the morning.
In the meantime; can you provide a save state for me? It'll make your codes easier to hack.

                  A save state?

With how slow the Emulator runs on my laptop? Well, tell you what... I can provide you a save of the 1st Lord Crump battle at the Prologue.

Here is the save state of the Lord Crump battle... I know it's not exactly what I want, but again... emulator's slow as hell in my laptop and I don't have the patience to get to the Buzzy Beetle battle with such slow emulation speed, either. These are Lord Crump's stats...

                    HP: 5
                    Attack: 1
                    Defense: 0

                    Known Stats Resistances:
                    100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 0 100 0

(The 100's are 64's in hex)

Your save didn't work. It told me I couldn't use saves from other revisions.
I'll just work my way to, Lord Crump. The info you posted should come in handy.

I found the health address for, Lord Crump. What kind of code/s do you want hacked?

Found a size modifier for, Lord Crump as well. Heh.

What I used is a save from Dolphin 4.0. I would like to have the HP Address hacked to 0A and perhaps the resistances hacked to 32 (50 in decimal)? I do appreciate it, Dybbles, and sorry to had you go through that yourself.

                            I'll give it a shot.
It's fine man, you want the enemies HP hacked to 0A? I think I can do that...

That's right, I would like the enemies to have 10 (0A) HP.
