  • Nintendo 64 GameShark Codes for Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0)

Hello fellas, my name is Joe and I’m here to share with you what I hope will be one of the best codes ever seen. What would you say if you could play dungeons again without having to start a new file? Sounds too good to be true I guess but there’s more, how about controlling events that happen once during the game like the Door of Time, the Biggoron’s Sword quest or the Skulltula quest? I think you would agree that’s truly amazing. You are about to receive the power to modify almost everything in the land of Hyrule.

A fair warning, though, these codes are not fully tested so I don’t know if they cause crashes or if they delete files. You should use them AFTER you finish playing your game and make copies of your file. Also, if they don’t work for some reason, as much as I would like to help you, I won’t be able to because I wouldn’t know how, they seem to work for me just fine.

    These are the specifics:

    Emulator: Project 64 version 1.6
Game: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.0)

For the following codes to work correctly they must be activated before entering a dungeon and deactivated immediately once inside. If you want a real experience repeating dungeons there are codes at the main page of the site that can be used to remove Items, Equipment, Big Keys, Compasses and Dungeon Maps.

Note: Each code controls different aspects of the dungeon like chests, locked doors, fake walls, enemies, etc. Something interesting happens when you set the values to 00FF but be careful; in some dungeons that’s not a good idea.

Now, the codes I’m about to give you are very special because they control things that happen only once and should be activated before entering the area they affect, so without further ado:

    Event Modifier

    8011B4XX 00??

    Replace ?? with:

Note: Activating these while playing a new game means you get to choose the condition of an event like the Door of Time, set its value to 00FF and it will be open even if you don’t have the Spiritual Stones or the Ocarina. The codes B7, B8, BA, BD and F1 should be placed with their respective dungeon. It seems that some events need more than one code in order to be modified, for example, you have to activate AD and D7 together to affect the gate. So far the only values I have tried for all the codes are 0000 and 00FF but I suspect different values might activate particular effects of a code that modifies several events like C6. Go ahead, combine codes and set other values to see what you can discover.

How was that, pretty awesome right? Well, that’s all there is to it, this is my contribution to enhance the experience of playing Ocarina of Time. The codes others have found made me enjoy the game from a different perspective and I suppose this is my way of repaying them for the time and effort they invested looking for said codes. But is it over yet? Not quite. I’m still searching and I have made some interesting discoveries, not as good as the ones I already gave you but I feel I’m getting close to something, so keep an eye on this thread for more posts.

Nope, but come to think of it I did sound like I was trying to sell you something.

So, has anyone tried these codes yet, what do you think?

I havent had the chance to try them and I don't have the time to but I'm sure someone will though. Here is a little tip to shrink those 8bit codes by using 16bit codes (as long as they end in even values like 0,2,4,6,8,A,C,E):

        Your long code:
        Inside the Deku Tree

        8011A6A7 0000
        8011A6A8 0000
        8011A6A9 0000
        8011A6AA 0000
        8011A6AB 0000
        8011A6AE 0000
        8011A6AF 0000
        8011A6BA 0000
        8011A6BB 0000

        The short code:
        Inside the Deku Tree

        8011A6A7 0000
        8111A6A8 0000
        8111A6AA 0000
        8111A6AE 0000
        8111A6BA 0000

just change that first zero into a 1 to make it 16bits and it will cover two 8bit lines of code. You can shrink it down more with a Serial Repeater/Patch Code but I'll leave you to figure it out.
        Spoiler Alert! Click to view...

Thank you, that's gonna be useful in the future. I've tried that Serial Repeater/Patch Code thingy but I don't know why I couldn't make it work.

Wow, thank you very much, this is gonna be even more useful, in fact, it helped me to test quickly some addresses to confirm that I might find something there. Now as I promised I'll give you what I discovered, it took me a while but it was worth it. With these codes you'll be able to repeat some of the quests in the game.
