    Re: NES Fire Emblem Gaiden

I have thoroughly tested out these codes...and they work quite well, although not 100% of the time for every char. The game still will occasionally freeze, so I suggest SAVING after completing each stage.

I dunno why the game sometimes freezes...must be an occasional defective boot up. Mosta the time it plays perfectly.

Again, if I haven't listed the codes in an easy-to-copy format, I can change it again.

At last I'm satisfied that these codes are good as they're gonna get. All I can advise is to save yer game often, and if it starts to glitch seriously, start over at the last save, cuz once the glitching starts, it's eventually gonna freeze.

I'll see if I can make any codes to enable magic use by any char, etc. but don't hold yer breath. I might not be able to make any.

        Bizzy!

Hmmm...I know everyone's busy with outdoor stuff right now, & football's just around the corner, but I see these codes haven't been posted in the "codes" page. Do I need to re-format them, or has everyone just been to busy to mess with'em yet?

        Just wondering.....

I thought ace was gonna get this. I'll put these up.

Edit: Now I se why this wasn't added before. The fireemblem codes are kinda a mess. Phil since you understand the game you think you could clear somethings up? We already had codes in each characters section, but what party are they for? I imagine there must be one more party so that is what the codes are for.

            An explanation...

I noticed that the first party in the game, led by the hero Alm, only used ten sets of codes. However, when the scenario switched to Celica & the party she was forming, the codes I'd used for Alm's party either wouldn't work for the new party at all, or only part of them worked. Therefore I made coses for every position in each party, to the point where a few codes worked for more than one position in a particular party. I've found it's best to use the codes only for the chars you're using in any given point in the game. For example, if I've been playing w/Celica's party & it becomes necessary to switch back to Alm's party, I DC all the codes for Celica's party.

This is one of the weirdest-acting NES games I've ever hacked codes for! I checked to see if either my FCEU download or the game download was infected or unstable, but they're not. Guess there's some kinda intermittent bug interaction 'tween rom & emu such as are found in some MAME roms.

So it's shared addresses. Just like Final Fantasy VII. It does that with Cait Sith/Young Cloud. And I think in final fantasy VIII it did soemthing similiar with 3 dream characters and 3 regular characters. So one code would affect the other.

But anyway, you are saying the codes on the site already were not for a specific party, they were meant to cover multiple.
