Well, I've been trying another method of unlocking the cars, instead of the save file, editing the game data, because the 360 doesn't seem to mind if you hex edit the extracted games files(Data0000,Data0001, etc) & put them back onto the USB drive to boot, problem is, there are 42 files to search through for NFSMW, not trying to get off-topic, some suggested searching for car values in the save data, but it's hard to search if you don't know which way to search as in normal or reverse.

That works on a console that's NOT modded? Editing the game data would more than likely require PPC knowledge and assembler/disassembler, much like people used to make PS2 codes from the ELF.

Well it DID work until the edited data was detected, then it froze, oh well.

Good news! I was finally able to get what I wanted!

The tool "360Revolution" has the ability to change your money on NFS Most Wanted (2005 version) so I figured that it also fixes the save's checksum as well as rehash and resign. So, I present to you the save with the hidden cars unlocked. Just like the GC version it has the blacklist, cop and traffic cars included in it.

Unlocking the cars is the same on all versions so it doesn't require PPC knowledge, just the values. NFSUnlimited has a guide on how to do it.

Save may only work when read from USB

Fucking checksums. I've had this tool from 360haven running for like 2 days now trying to figure out the checksum for Juiced 2. Of course, anything I want to edit will have that bullshit.

I just wish that 360Revolution would run in offline mode. It's the only tool that can fix NFSMW 2005's checksum. I've used that EA resigner too and the game tells me the save is corrupt.

Christ. The scene for this stuff is a fuckin mess. We really need to get a proper DB going for this stuff. Half the shit was probably on megaupload and defunct file sharing sites with dead links. It's impossible to find out what checksums anything uses. Look for an editor and lazy people write them and then say you need some resigner for that specific game that you can't find. FFS. I've had this checksum tool runinng on my Juiced 2 save for like 5 days now cause it's a 2.5MB save. I'm gonna laugh if it's a simple CRC32 and it took it that long.

Come on guys. Start hacking whatever games you have. Xbox360 needs hacked properly by competent cheaters, not these assholes that somehow rig it so you can't download an attachment unless you "Like" their post. It's retarded. Checksums aren't my thing, so I need a reliable way to start dealing with those before I can do anything. Then I need to figure out why the hell Renegade keeps crashing on me for no apparent reason.

Just to add another level of complexity, some things aren't even stored in save data. I figured out how to unlock the cheats on Conan, but I had to edit the games' GPD to do it. The GPD is the game's data file inside your profile. Pretty much the same files people screw with to put achievements on their tag they didn't earn. I guess I still got it though. I unlocked the 2 cheats for beating normal, and immediately spotted the the odd section that was added toward the end of the file and the 0A for the 2 bits being on. lol

Fuck the people who write trainers for PC games nowadays too. I'm not registering on your bullshit fucking site so you can get an extra hit for your ad revenue and spew adware/spyware/malware. Write a program that works without requiring registration, Java, or any other retarded shit to use. Why is that so goddamn complicated!? The save modding scene for console games is just as ridiculous. Oh, I have to be registered, like your post, AND give you thanks for posting a half assed little tool to edit money and fix the checksum? FUCK YOU! I started messing with games in the good old days when actual cheat devices on consoles were big (Game Genie, Gameshark, AR, Codebreaker). I made 1000s of codes along with fellow game enthusiasts. I know a guy that made Mario walk on water. Nobody had to jump through hoops to access our fucking mods!

We should seriously get some form of proper shit going for save editing and training current gen stuff. I was tempted to invest in a modded Xbox, but I shudder to think what kind of shit software would be available for hacking my own cheats or what kind of idiots I'd have to ask to learn about it. If Halo MCC ends up worth playing in November, I might be indisposed for a while. I don't know dick about checksums and save signing anyway though. It appears some games have their own bullshit signature on the save data on top of the regular rehashing/resigning needed for the container itself. In any case, all of this is over my head. I can hex edit as well as anyone, but fixing the motherfucker to actually load is kind of a problem.

                      Sounds like you've visited 360Haven.

I got a save modding tool and was required to sign up, and click thanks before the link would even appear.

Besides being annoying, it's one of the most ad infested sites I've ever seen. Try a popup blocker? detected. Nothing shows. Totally ridiculous.

I've posted at nearly every save editing related site I'm registered at and nobody shares any fucking info about how to determine checksum info for games that don't have save editors. This is starting to piss me off. What does it take to figure this stuff out and why isn't there a single tutorial on the entire fucking internet?

So as it turns out, there can be multiple checksums on the same save file. Found an example of how to figure out the header info, and it shows a file with 2 checksums for the data, plus a checksum on the header itself. That'll be fuckin annoying. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/thre...s-yet.1321002/

Well, fuck. Now I need a way to get the XEX files for 360 games without having to download entire ISOs. PC drives can't read 360 games.

edit 2: I think I'm starting to see why some games don't have save editors. Doesn't help when the checksum isn't anywhere near the beginning of the file.

So give us the dirt on how you found the checksum, did you just follow the video? Oh and in case you want to use the 360 DVD Drive (any of them but avoid the slims) on a PC with USB then you need:

                                http://www.x360usb.com/

I have the older version but works like a champ and also allows you to flash your firmware
