Is there anywhere to download the latest work in progress binary version like a daily build version?

I would compile it myself but I don't have the ps2 toolchain/sdk setup for slackware 13 or windows xp at the moment and thats all I have right now. unless someone can offer shell access with a suitable build environment... but a WIP binary would be a lot easier!

I tried another game today. Silent Hill Origins works perfect. I managed to dump anywhere I wanted to without messing up the game in any way. I can't find codes though, some annoying pointer system. I tried something simple, I had 103 rounds for my pistol. No matter what, it's address remains constant until the amount of ammo changed. Every shot I took, the ammo relocated to an exact different address, so depending on how much ammo I had I knew where the address for it was. I just couldn't come close to finding the pointer throughout the entire game's memory.

No, there're currently no "snapshots". But it's definitely a good idea to keep in mind.

FYI, version 0.4 will be released soon and contains lots of compatibility fixes.

To all software testers: please retest non-working games with the new version 0.4 and update the compatibility list accordingly.

              Thanks.

Incidentally, what are the chances of previously working games breaking with the latest version(s)? I remember when testing alpha versions of Core Launcher (and I believe version 0.2 of Artemis after the merge), some games that worked with older versions would not work with newer versions. Obviously, this is always possible, but based on changes you've made recently, is this likely?

Not all features of CL have been merged to Artemis in a single step, e.g. DNAS support was added later in 0.3.

Of course, it is possible that a new release breaks compatibility with a certain game. That's why we need regression tests. If you happen to find a game that worked with a previous Artemis version or CL, report it here.

I see. OK, I'll do some testing shortly, and add results to the compatibility list, as usual.

LMZ, I saw your latest changes to the compatibility list. Did you test network games with the new debugger.patch_loadmodule option enabled?

Not sure if this is the right place to mention a specific idea, but it is related to compatibility.

In the cases of games that only work with specific settings, is there any way to analyze the game to guess if it would want a setting?

Just from what I've observed while testing games gives the impression there are consistent shared attributes between games that don't work at all or only work with special settings.

Something I should mention, is the games I tested that are currently listed as incomplete or nothing behaved correctly with load_modules set to false. The ones that crashed anyway are noted.

I finally had the chance to download PS2rd 0.42. I tested these again:

Okami = It connects, but now it works exactly like Area 51. It never dumps or interrupts the game in any kind of way.

Area 51 = It connects and everything, but the game can't be halted and data cannot be dumped. PS2cc just says it is sending the command.

Shadow of the Colossus = Same problem as before.

Twisted Metal Black = Nomore pink screen, but the game still won't start. Just a black screen.

Silent Hill 4 = Same problem as before.
