I'm wondering which exact code caused it. If you're able to pinpoint the exact code, I can look at it, reproduce the crash, and figure out how to fix it. I never encountered any crashes on my play through.

The crashes seemed random, and I couldn't pinpoint then. They always happened on some sort of transition though - either trying to enter the pause menu, or the galaxy map (select menu), etc. Perhaps this game just hates being played from a hard disk.

Thanks very much for the codes, anyway

Right then, on to my next issue:

        Resistance 3 BCES01118

None of the codes seem to work. Should I try 'constant' or something?

Welp, tried loads of codes, both with and without the patch, normal and AoB versions, write once and constant, and nothing works. I can only assume that these only work for the BLUS version.

I'm on a roll here, I've hit the jackpot.

Ni No Kuni Wrath Of The White Witch BLES01555 v01.00 av01.00 - doesn't work, even slightly.

I'm at the point where I'm baffled. I was the one who made the BCUS Resistance 3 codes, and I had the Eboot from the BCES version which was identical to the BCUS version, so they should work perfectly. I had The Last Of Us too, so depending on which version you tried I know they work fine too. I had Ni No Kuni, but I'm uncertain about the files for that because the file I had did not work with the codes so I made my own 1 code that I know works.

If all that is happening is you play and nothing happens, 2 possibilities:

                1. You didn't put the modified eboot in the correct place.
                2. You modified the disk version eboot from /GAMES/whatevergame/PS3_GAME/USDIR/ while you have an update with an updated eboot installed causing it to read from /game/B??S#####/USRDIR/ instead which makes it ignore the other one causing it to read an unmodified eboot.

Tell me how you are modifying things in detail, which files from where, and where are you putting them.

First of all, I really appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot this.

Second..."modified eboot"? I haven't done anything like that. I've used Artemis cheats on a bunch of games, but never modified any Eboot files...is there some massive thing I'm missing here?

For the record I've used cheats successfully on:

                  Demon Souls
                  Infamous 2
                  Killzone 2
                  Metal Gear Solid 4
                  Uncharted 1-3
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time

EDIT: All I do is either, if I have the disc, I run Artemis, select my cheats, play the disc and Attach. If I don't have the disc, I run Multiman, always with 'Internal' and 'BD emulator' or whatever it is selected, exit Multiman, select my cheats in Artemis, then run the game, and Attach. That' my process.

Second EDIT: I'm not that bothered about The Last of Us as I've found a working cheat PKG for that which I'm using right now. But Resistance 3, literally none of the codes worked, with or without the patch (the infamous patch which takes an hour to delete), and I only have access to the BCES version.

Ni No Kuni I tried a bunch of codes, and I think one actually worked - but it's the most useless code in the world. Called '0 Damage', it cause ME to do 0 damage, making even the first fight unwinnable! HP, XP etc - none of that worked.

There's always a chance those games are games that Artemis doesn't work correctly with. I remember it didn't work with Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, and that's one of those special games requiring a special trick to play with while in debug mode on rebug to get it working. Resistance 3 also requires that same odd trick, so that could possibly be a reason, which makes it so you'll need to do eboot modding. I don't recall The Last Of Us having that problem though, so depending on which region and version of the game, I can't truly verify if it was all bad or mixed up codes.

As for Ni No Kuni, I can see that game having mixed up bad codes. I got the game and tried the codes for it that were supposedly for my version only to learn that whoever 1st created the file likely threw in random codes from various versions with no clue of what they were doing. Because of that, I made a health code for my own version, then got distracted by other things and didn't continue with codes for that game. And the "0 Damage" code, I already knew it was 1 of xtatu's codes just from the title. His health and invincibility codes are hit and miss with them sometimes being untested and instead affecting every enemy in the game along with the player. I had that happen to me with his Ratchet And Clank codes along with a small game breaking side effect in Resident Evil Revelations 1 causing me to make my own codes again for that sort of problem.

Artemis doesn't have 100% compatibility with games, there's always a chance you'll find those few it has no effect on. The only thing I know of with 100% compatibility is modifying the eboot on your own if you run into those few that don't work.

EDIT: Could you upload the EBOOT.BIN from your copy of Ni No Kuni Wrath Of The White Witch? I can use that hopefully for a bit of porting to possibly make codes work for you. It'll be in /USRDIR/ of the game.

                      That's very kind, thank you

Inf HP, max stats / instant level 99 / total OP mode or codes to that effect would be v appreciated!

What can I do about Resistance? Can you recall what the special trick is, if necessary? I can post you the eboot for that as well, if it would help. Perhaps it did change and the codes you have for BLUS really don't work on it.

Hi Bungholio, Thank you very much for the codes.

I am a big fan of Ratchet and Resistance TV game series. I modified Resistance 3's eboot.bin to make Infinite Ammo works.

However for Ratchet and Clank Crack in Time. I am playing the Asian edition. I modified eboot for no less than 10 times. according the information your provided in your 4th December 2017 database. Just for Infinite Ammo (I just used Winhex replaced certain AOB code in Eboot.bin of my version of Ratchet and Clank Crack in Time). I disappointedly found That will crash the console when any gunfire hitting enemies.

Codes are working (the amount of weapon Ammo were not decreasing) but the game will crash. (same as vgcuts said)

I did have lots of crashes by using Artemis. I am keeping that program in my PS3 because I found the idea of Artemis is brilliant, I just like such freedom of modifying games. Eventually I had to modify Eboot manually. I found a way that temporarily disabling Webman by pressing L3+R3+R2, before running Artemis for avoiding confliction (for less console crashing), I also downloaded aldostools's unofficial Artemis 4.8 mod to try. I am running Rebug 4.81.2 and Cobra 7.5 and Webman latest version.

Bungholio, I wish you can read my post and help. Till now, just Crack in Time I have not modified successfully.

                        Once again, thank you!

You'll be delighted to hear I've learned how to mod my own Eboot files using PS3 Cheats Editor and Self-Resigner. I have a working modded Resistance 3.

One question though: how do you convert Artemis codes to CodeUnique format used by PS3 Cheats Editor? Do you just add 00002000 to the start of the codes, or are there other prefixes (and how do I know what they are, etc).

Also sorry for going a bit off topic here.

Thank PS3Xploit team and many contributors. I got my PS3 jellbroken in March this year. Since I had not play any game on it for 8 years. I thought I received a very espeical Christmas Gift from PS3Xploit people.

I am a big fan of Ratchet and Resistance TV game. As I never liked those man-made limitations of games, I would like to take control on my own time. I like Game Hacking program like Artemis, the idea of it is brilliant. Althought on my Rebug 4.81.2 and Cobra 7.5 and Webman latest version system, Artemis made my PS3 frozen for many times, I believe Artemis is doing the Amazing things, I enjoy the freedom of modifying games. Thank Bungholio for his work.

For playing Resistance 3 for infinite ammo, I modified Resistance 3's eboot.bin to make Infinite Ammo works. I found that way (modifying game's Eboot) made cheat code works, and works for the same game of different regions.

For modifying Ratchet and Clank Crack in Time, I had hard time. I modified eboot for no less than 10 times just for getting infinite ammo (I also wish Ratchet could have unlimited jump boost), code is working (the amount of weapon Ammo were not decreasing), but when I was firing a gun towards enemy, the game will freeze. As another user vgcuts said, my save file of this game was also messed up.

My Tips of using Artemis: I found a way that temporarily disabling Webman (release it from PS3 memory) by pressing L3+R3+R2, before running Artemis for avoiding confliction (for less console crashing), I also downloaded aldostools's unofficial Artemis 4.8 mod to try.

My way of modifying Eboot.bin: I found PS3 Cheat Editor is not very good for me. I used Winhex SCETOOL_decrypt_eboot and SCETOOL_encrypt_eboot tool. I followed the instructions of Youtube video: "How to easily add PS3 Cheat Codes to EBOOT". I used AOB codes provided in Bungholio's latest database. Thank those people.

I found I could use Bruteforce Save Editor to Edit the PS3 Game's save. that's also can make infinite ammo happen for some games but not Crack in Time. R&C Crack in Time is one of a few games I have not modified successfully.

I hope Bungholio could read my post and help. Thank him!

I just checked the Ratchet And Clank Future A Crack In Time BCUS98124 v01.01 av01.00 file for the ammo code and saw this:

                              Ammo Never Decreases
                              0
                              0 00467A48 D03D0008
                              #

It's missing the credit part and should be like this in the file:
                              Ammo Never Decreases
                              0
                              bungholio
                              0 00467A48 D03D0008
                              #

I doubt that alone is causing the crash, and at the same time I have no idea how it is possible for that to cause a crash because it's using an offset that is normal to the game so if that was the crash, the game would have been crashing for people even without modification. Is there any chance it instead crashes because you have infinite health or invincibility on??? Since you say it happens when you shoot at an enemy, it's possible it's one of those instead. And from looking at it, looks like they were my much earlier days of doing that type of code, and just looking at it makes me suspect a crash is possible with the way I did it. That was when I was 1st figuring out how to do health and invincibility codes like that, and I remember I tried doing the same bad way like that with Warriors Orochi 3.

As for converting Artemis to CodeUnique or whatever, you mostly have it right.

                              0 00467A48 D03D0008
                              becomes:
                              00002000 00467A48 D03D0008

The confusing part is the code types. 0 in NetCheat and Artemis works for all direct write code types of any size, but CodeUnique doesn't.
                              CodeUnique does it like these:
                              1 byte write = 00000000 (2 digits)
                              2 byte write = 00001000 (4 digits)
                              4 byte write = 00002000 (8 digits)

It means depending on the code, it can end up being like these:
                              00002000 00467A48 D03D0008
                              or
                              00001000 00467A48 0000D03D
                              00001000 00467A4A 00000008
                              or
                              00000000 00467A48 000000D0
                              00000000 00467A49 0000003D
                              00000000 00467A4A 00000000
                              00000000 00467A4B 00000008

                              CodeUnique is a pain.

If you find it is the health or invincibility codes, even though it's likely both, I can go back to the game and write the code differently in a way that works a lot better. If it is somehow the ammo code, I'd really need to investigate because I honestly don't know how that is possible unless the code works for more than just ammo and that gives some random thing a crazy value triggering a crash.

If it helps, I had 'Health Doesn't Decrease' on for my entire playthrough, along with 'Infinite Ammo'. But as I said, my crashes didn't happen in level, only when transitioning to other screens (pause, map, weapon upgrade, etc).

Are you intending to try and sort the Ni No Kuni BCES codes btw? Otherwise I'll see about getting the NPUB version and trying the codes there. As usual, the challenge may be getting the right patch version.
