Chalvo 55 - Super Puzzle Action (J) for Game Boy
I made 2 codes for this game:
Have all 5 Diamonds
010574C9
Stage Select
01??18C8
01-Stage 2
02-Stage 3
03-Stage 4
04-Stage 5
05-Stage 6
06-Stage 7
07-Stage 8
08-Stage 9 (inaccessible hidden stage)
[Don't turn on code until title screen appears; turn it off once stage starts]
I tried to make a jump anywhere code for this game since this game utilizes a lot of jumping and some areas are inaccessible because you don't jump very high but the closest I came was finding a few vertical axis coordinates, but those were not any help. If anyone is skilled at jump anywhere codes this game could really use one.US NES games left to beat: 3

Haha, I found a code to skip stages by accident. If you use this code: 011026C1, the character will start bouncing all over the place and you'll finish the stage. It works for all stages.
And this code makes you jump really high: 019930C1. Just disable to drop down.Last edited by ReyVGM; 10-21-2014, 10:25:19 PM.

Those are some sweet codes! I read on a web site that there was an actual password to play "the hidden Stage 9". I have been trying to get through it but it just seems like a buggy unfinished stage that the programmers kept in there. By the way, I hung out with GForce last night. Great guy. We chatted, along with his wife, for a few hours. It was cool to talk to someone in person about games and codes. Your name came up a few times as well as nolberto's crazy code making skills.
[edit] Just "finished" Stage 9. There was no boss fight. At some point I leaped through one of the ceiling holes and it said STAGE CLEAR and played the same ending you get when you beat the game finishing Stage 8. By the way, this afternoon I submitted passwords for this game to Gamefaqs but could not finish Stage 7 to get the password for Stage 8, so if you want an easy password submission finish Stage 7 with your high jump code. If you don't get to it I'll get it tomorrow night

Him and his wife are visiting some friends in Maine so we met at a local pub and had dinner and drinks. Between the 2 of us we have probably beaten at least 4000 games...if you were there that number would probably be double. How many games have you finished anyway??Originally posted by ReyVGM View PostOh, how did you two meet? Do you live in the same city? Must have been cool
As for the password, nah, you go ahead and submit it. You're the one that got the ball rolling.US NES games left to beat: 3

Haha, that's cool. It would have been great being there.
Well according to VGM, I've beaten 2400 games. But it's actually more because I've finished games people have contributed, so they are not credited to me. Plus, I've finished games that are still not up on VGM.
So I guess an approximate figure would be around 3000 games maybe.

Rey, that code you made for Chalvo 55 to finish a stage is incredible...I've never seen anything like it. Your character actually seems to grab the items needed to finish the stage and heads right to the exit. How the hell did you find that???US NES games left to beat: 3

By accident. I was looking for a jump modifier code. Out of all the results, I saw two that the value increased as you jumped and decreased as you dropped. I picked the first one and set the value to 99 (I always do that to see if something changes drastically in the game after enabling the code). And when I did that, the character started jumping around like crazy, I thought the code was busted, but then I saw "Level complete". I kept watching and noticed that code worked as a Auto Beat Stages code :P
The second code I found was the one you could use to modify the jumping.Last edited by ReyVGM; 10-22-2014, 08:57:08 PM.

We had a great time too Adam, it was fun just talking games, sports, family, etc. Every NES game the one guy mentioned, the other knew all about it. Very rare to speak with someone as knowledgable and down to earth as yourself.
Sure I beat a lot of games but I only did so because of the hard work by guys like you, Rey, Hybrid, VistitX, Nolberto, TonyH, odino, LBK, and so many other guys who did all the heavy lifting.

Yeah, we will definitely have to meet up again some time. You guys were laid back and fun to hang out with.
Now, maybe someone can help me figure out why the Stage 1 boss of an unlicensed, obscure Game Boy game is impossible to defeat. I am playing through a shooter called Sky Ace for the GB. It is from the Sachen 4-in-1 Vol. 6 multicart. I made a few codes for it and figured I could blast through it but when I got to the Stage 1 boss the bullets seem to just go through it like it is a ghost. I powered up the weapon to full capacity and it still appears to do no damage. One of two things are probably in play here. Since the game is unlicensed and never had to undergo any kind of quality control, the boss is indeed invincible and the game was probably not even finished beyond the 1st Stage. The only other thing I can think of is either I am missing something, like a secret weapon to do him in or there is some kind of emulation flaw. There is absolutely nothing about this game online other than a short youtube video and it appearing on unlicensed GB game lists.
