  • I just want to say that I do appreacite your apology, but still upsetting a new person in your site puts me in a state of disposition.

And to answer your question: Nintendoage.com "is" an official site, I should know, and they do share codes amogst each other. I know this from experience on-line.

Again I don't even know what it is I said in the first place in my first posting that upset you, all I asked was a simple question, trying to fit it with all the other members. Is that too much to ask of me?

The other thing that well got me concerned was this -----> Someone move this thread to the hacker forum and split brian's post into its own request thread.

One final note (if that is possible): In all my years being on-line, I have never been part of a chat group, I don't even know much about it all, or how one works and that's the truth in a nut shell.

I will let this site die in piece once I figure out how to make these codes and hopefully they work.

Now we can let this little fiacsco come to an end. And since you apologized to me, I am most greatful.

    Thank you

    • So what you are suggesting is to reverse the way the code is set up? Let me try that...

I was just testing it on Donkey Kong Jr. (original); basically the game set it up as the default lives setting "3". Maybe I am doing something completely wrong and I am not catching on.

I think the easiest way for me to figure this out is maybe you could type on the screen what you believe the code should be and what it looks like, just like when you showed me only fill in the blanks persey.

And also take note that I am not mad at you or the administrator in any way, I just need support doing stuff like this. Also the classic 8-bit nes (I feel) is a special piece of equipment, with a terrific assortment of games to match. So I don't mean to open a site that is over 3 years old, I am showing friendship, not anger.

If I haven't mentioned this already, I use FCEUX for certain nes games that Jnes cannot play.

      Thank you for your support.

      • You are modifying the RAM address, how many lives the game thinks you have at any given moment. If you want to freeze that address at 9, remove the compare byte. If you want to alter how many lives the game starts you with, you need to debug. Breakpoint (or watchpoint) the RAM address on write when starting the game, and then alter the ASM by patching the rom or using a Game Genie Code.
Please put all complaints in writing and submit them here.

Above link not working? Try here.

Who said it wasn't an official site? I said it wasn't a code site.

Again I don't even know what it is I said in the first place in my first posting that upset you, all I asked was a simple question, trying to fit it with all the other members. Is that too much to ask of me?
I think you are confusing things. Three people have replied to your posts, yet you are replying back as if only one person is the one talking to you? It wasn't me that was upset.

The other thing that well got me concerned was this -----> Someone move this thread to the hacker forum and split brian's post into its own request thread.
What so concerning about that? VisintiX's thread should be in the hackers forum, and your request should be in the Retro Hacking Request forum (where you originally posted).

One final note (if that is possible): In all my years being on-line, I have never been part of a chat group, I don't even know much about it all, or how one works and that's the truth in a nut shell.
That's good to know... but this isn't a chat group. This is a forum.

Chat is real time, and u tipe lik diz if ur an idiot.
A forum has order and things go where they are supposed to go.

I will let this site die in piece once I figure out how to make these codes and hopefully they work.
I never said to let the SITE die in peace, I said to let the THREAD die in peace, because it was inactive for 3 years, and unless VisintX comes back, there's no need to post in it.

Could you please just look at your original request thread on the request forum? Everything is explained there. No need to keep bumping this thread. If you want to reply to anything I said, reply to it in your request thread, not this one.

Rimsky, you are too advanced and too knowledgable, so you are just confusing him. I know how to make codes and I didn't understand half of what you said :P
You and I already replied to his request and already told him in plain and simple terms what to do. So he should just reply on that thread, not this one.

But now that I think about it, the Retro Hacking forum description says nothing about requesting. Actually, "request here" is not mentioned at all anywhere. So I guess it would be kind of normal for newbies to request in the wrong place, not to mention that they probably find the site and old threads through google. That's the only explanation I have as to why he would post on such an old and buried thread.

          • Quick message,

            1) I guess doing these kind of codes aren't for me, but I glad that I tried to anyway. Best to leave sleeping dogs lie.

            2) Hijacking is wrong (in more ways than one), that I understand clear as a bell.

You can close this thread, I don't want to cause you to keep it open after being three years now.

I think I see what you referring to about my double post.

When I asked the original question in a different area that was eight pages long. I assumed that was where my question should go so I typed it there. So that was my own fault after finding this area to type in so I cut and pasted here not realizing my error until you explained it to me. I am such an idiot.

If you want to make those codes for me, by all means you can - but hex editing is hard to understand and very, very easy to get confused in it.

            Have a good evening,
            brian123

            • For the third time...

Check your original request thread on the Retro Hacking forum!

Everything has been answered there. I don't know why you keep replying here.

Here let me link you to it or you might never find it:

              • Not to keep bumping this thread but Brian go look at the link above and if you still have requests I'll fill them for you ok? This isn't too hard a thing to do and there is no reason to be considering yourself an idiot or anything, we simply like to have things in order here and it's really not to hard to follow our limited rules.

Thank you for doing what you attempted to do, I am now working on this puzzle on my own and I am sure once I look at the BIG picture, everything will make sense in my brain.

When I stated: "I feel like an idiot", it's because I have what is called autism, meaning that it takes me longer to process information compared to other individuals -- especially with stuff like this. But once I sit down and take a good look at what I am trying to accomplish, I know I can make it happen if I believe something is possible.

By the way, Rimsky had some really useful information he passed on, but your right on that aspect - unless I understand hex and how it works, then it was advanced for my level.

So Adminstrator, thank you for your continued support and your dedication, that helped me a lot.

This will be my last posting, this I promise.

                  Have a pleasant evening,

                  • Hello,

The Bad Street Brawler infinite lives codes doesn't seem to be work. Can you provide another one and individual codes that make you start from level 6 to level 15?
