Ok. I beat the game right to the end.

No problems with the 2 codes I used. I patched the game with a game genie patcher (not the one on this site) using Invincibility and Infinite Lives, and the game worked great. Played on FCEUltra for PS2.

So it was an error from the guys who made the goodset then. I wonder how many more of these errors are present in the set.

You really don't want to know how many errors there are. I don't think it's well documented but there's a ridiculous number of them, thanks to the one guy mostly dealing with all of it not really caring enough to do it correctly. Likely the same cause for the huge amount of trash files in the sets too.
