OK, so I'm looking into it. Credit was lost an quite a few codes, because of inconsistencies in the old database I didn't know were there. I'm trying to take care of it programmatically... we'll see how that goes.

I've actually set up the old gshi site on a local webserver to aid me in this.

I just fixed the credits for over 17,000 codes. There are only about 100 more codes in the entire database that don't have a credit, I'll probably fix those manually.

Oh wow, that sounds great. Thanks for doing that rimsky.

If you haven't seen it yet, please take a look at this thread about the database eating some codes:
          http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/13...s-while-moving

I guess I should have posted that here, instead of a new thread.

I noticed this now that wasn't happening before:

Actually, before, on that field and on an empty hacker name, instead of saying "Select Some Fields", it said "Select som". As if something was cutting it off. Now that whatever restriction has been lifted, it looks like the field for game names overflows now.

Also, don't forget about this issue :P

I noticed the growing/shrinking input. I filed it in the "don't currently give a shit, but perhaps will later" folder.

I'm also aware of the table cells auto-sizing and how screwed up it can be sometimes. I'll look at that another time, too. Probably sooner than the other thing.

                  Someone reported this to me:

The database shows 41 codes for this game http://gamehacking.org/game/30724

But only 2 codes can be seen once you enter the link. The rest of the codes should be in groups, but the groups aren't showing up.

Oddly if a new code is added to the invisible group it will show the groups. Seems these are nested groups which might be the problem.

                      Nested? What does that mean?

I added a code to the Cao Cao group and I still can't see it.

                        a group inside a group

i managed to get them to show by adding a code to the character setup and land groups

                          Thanks.

Hopefully rimsky can fix this so that empty code can be deleted.

Here is a tiny suggestions, allow the codes of the GBA and other sections to be dl'ed in specific formats, IE .txt, etc.

They can be, per game, for the formats available, for anybody. If there is a format missing that you would like, you can suggest it in a new thread.

Can I do per system? Yes. The functionality already exists. But, I won't make that function publicly available simply because it would wreak havoc on the server. It's an admin only permission, and will stay that way.

ever thought about creating system specific subforums?
like.. a subforum dedicated to GCN hacking, one for Wii, one for DS, Wii U, and so on.. I just remember this scheme from other sites and i think it'd offer a keener view
